hi folks, quick Q - do you think there will be deals on the A73 at the upcoming tech fairs?
have actually never been to one lol but SITEX is the one with all the big retailers afaik... Tech Show not much on mobile phone right?
my phone is rlly on its last legs... thinking about getting A73 since an A52s is basically impossible to find new.
as a student i can get it for $630 with galaxy buds (i think) and maybe offset the cost by selling them off... but idk about upcoming promo.
currently everywhere selling 8/128gb at $698 before promo... got chance of the prices dipping to $550 ish?

Ya! I'm equally surprised that even the street shops price for the 8/128 has gone up by almost $40 overshooting $600 now, and that the 8/256 has overshot the $700's mark!

Loving the Modes and Rountines features of OneUI 5.0.

Now I can schedule to lower the volume of my notification in office based on my office location.

Once I'm in my office. The volume will be lowered automatically.

Once I left the office. The volume will be adjusted back to normal level.

Full automation! Awesome!

4th day running on Android 13 / OneUI 5.0.

Problem free. All my apps are running perfectly and the perfomance and speed boosts are so noticible as compared to Andoird 12 / OneUI 4.1.

Super happy! No regret at all getting this awesome A73 5G! It is really a top-notch midrange phone model!

My apology to confuse you.

Singapore A73 has yet to receive Android 13 OTA officially yet.

My Android 13 update was using a flashing method. It wasn't an official way to get Android 13.

So, you have to wait for the official OTA.

That, I can't help coz I don't use any sorts of protector for my phones since many years ago..

However, you may visit few reputable mobile shops to see if they have it and apply it nicely for you as well.

Not strange... when I bought my set, the seller told me that all the old sets with the lower cost price have been sold out... the new stock all much higher priced due to the chip shortage... so the price is lagging the inventory shortage...

I also using without a screen protector... should be ok lar... my previous phone was a Galaxy Note8 and I used it for 5 years without the screen protector also... at the end of life just some very minor scratches... don't need to sayang the phone... buy to use, not become museum piece... unless you're the type who likes to change phones every year... otherwise just use lor...

Unlikely anymore... that bird has flown... need to pay more for this phone now... I paid $638 for 8/256 white - last piece at a small shop. The shop salesperson told me next batch the price will be over $700 cos their base price increased with the chip shortage... I'm glad and bit the bullet and bought it first... cos I was only looking for 8/128 and since I watched the prices for this phone from about Sep, I noticed the pricing increasing with various shops on Carousell changing their prices from $525 for 8/128 to $598 and above...

Me using note 8 now. Gonna buy this today. Decidimg on white or mint green.

I'm using white... looks very classy... it's not gloss white but a matte type with slight texture which is quite visible... I use a TPU case so can't really see...

Buy from those small shops advertising on Carousell lor... just chat to reserve the phone then go down to pick up the phone and pay... safer this way... as long as warranty is from Samsung is ok... I registered straightaway once I got home... just to ensure it is genuine... but buying from small shops means no free gift lar... I tried registering for the Galaxy Buds but was rejected cos the shop I bought from was participating... so you pay more for the phone cos you're paying for the free gifts... since I don't use ear buds, I wasn't bothered... I rather pay much less for my phone...

Some more, glass now is super solid! Difficult to get scratches!

Damn useful!

As I mentioned previously. I created a <Work place> mode to auto reduced my notification volume based on my office GPS! It would auto reverse to normal volume mode once I left my office.

Also, I created a <Equalizer> mode when playing my music on my soundbar via BT so that my phone EQ will be switched to the desired EQ setting to match the soundbar quality when it is connected, different from my EQ setting while paying my music through my wireless earpiece!

Automation is great!
