One thing you can be sure of - No timely software updates. Unless they change their policy, you can be sure that Google's issuing of Critical Softwares Updates will still get to Singaporean devices 3-4 months after the rest of the world.
If you think that storing your Credit cards (Samsung Pay, Google Pay), your personal information (your emails, contacts, messages), your banking information (Credit card/banking apps), your Singpass (the app) and health information (Google Health, Samsung Health), and other information on your phone is not important to you and that you are ok if some exploit in future should expose it somehow because of the 3 month delay in patching the exploits that have been exposed, then go ahead.
If this does concern you, you might want to consider other brands who have a track record of patching the security holes more tightly so that other unknown sources aren't actually potentially hacking your data. In case you might have forgotten, it happened in 2015/6 with Stagefright and many phones still were not patched even though reliable exploits were out in the wild.
For me, unless Samsung does take ownership and recognise that we are storing more important information on our phones today than even 2 years ago, this lack of timely updates is a dealbreaker.
The long discussions in the Note 9 thread and the repeated attempts by Samsung's official representatives, their Connection Members (see their signatures), have convinced me that this is not the way to go. Customer support includes trust in the company, and given the way users who buy their hardware are treated - I have lost trust in Samsung. And their cavalier attitude suggests they are not interested in regaining trust, but instead earning your money.
