in that case u check carefully is screen protector or not. if really glass/lcd panel free, can share ur frd details so that i can go samsung to make noise?

i m in the midst of changing the glass. they are charging me 280++

Hi all

I have been reading the forum on Samsung Note 2 screen crack, would like to seek a small help from you bros..

I went down to Samsung Plaza Singapura yesterday and they quoted me $267 to replace the screen.

I highlighted to them that other users were able to get the screen replacement for $146 for just the cracked glass.

They agreed and wrote me a letter stating that they would replace my screen if i showed them a receipt of anyone paying approx $140 for the said repairs.

Can i kindly seek help to scan your receipt or service invoice, so that i can show it to the manager?

i dropped my note 2 today and the bottom half of the screen is not sensitive to the touch screen panel anymore

only able to use the s-pen to touch

u dropped from waist height = your mistake = profit opportunity for samsung

simple as that. u not happy with the charges can simply throw your phone away, doesn't affect samsung a bit, in fact benefit them, they dun have to honour your 1 year warranty anymore. to all these big companies, u r just 1 person who spent around 1k every one to two years on their device, why would they care about u?

so either u suck thumb pay up or go random hp shop replace it and risk voiding your remaining warranty.

As a singaporean son myself, I was taught to come clean with my mistake and say so. I will not cover up.

Commercial companies do not need to account to people why they charge this high. As poison said, you do not have a point to argue in this case...

Secondly, if you still have warranty for the phone, I think receipt is not needed, especially in this situation where paying Samsung is inevitable. Having a receipt doesn't give you more rights to request for cheaper repair cost. Lastly, i doubt anyone care about sending you a copy of the receipt without benefits. Glhf

price depends on where you send for repair. Telcos seem to charge higher as they take in some fees to send to Samsung.

Different price depends on extent of damage. My i cracked only the glass panel and the silver ring around the phone. hence was quoted abt $170.

those who just cracked the screen is abt $140
those who cracked the LCD panel (i.e the screen has bleeding or black liquid) will be in excess of $200 easily as the lcd panel itself is almost $200.

know this cause the samsung dude showed me their price list...hehe
