How big is the storage card? When you first put it in, if it has a lot of content, Android will take a while to index everything in the card. In the meantime, expect your phone to work overtime doing that, so battery life will take a hit until it finishes. This normally isn't a problem, but it becomes a problem if your card isn't inserted properly, or when the contact is loose, so the card repeatedly connects and disconnects. Every time that happens, Android has to re-index everything, so if this happens often, the phone will heat up and battery life will suck.
The S3 had this problem with certain Sandisk sd cards because those cards were slightly thinner than usual.
The storage is i think 32GB.
Great explanation. I got problem with the Note, keeps heating up for no reason then stops. when i restart the phone, heats up again. I think it's because of the processing power...not high enough.
My note 3 now goes back to normal....not hot already. Thanks
By the way, those apps at the bottom can change to different ones or swap position ? you know, phone, contacts, message, internet and apps.

He hardly uses the S Pen and is connected to wifi at home all the time after all. So far I've gone up to 1 1/2 days between charges max with about 6 hours of screen time.
