Just to share my unlucky experience with my new note 3, bought last Saturday (19Oct) at starhub. Trying to be as brief as possible.

It went brick at second charge with battery totally flat. Swapping the charger and battery with my friend's note 3, they are all fine. Called Starhub, was asked to look for Samsung service center. I did, Samsung changed a new battery for me, then at home I found out during charging, the battery power % slowly drained instead of increasing! Searching on Web and found many similar cases for different devices.
A lot of them due to dust trapped in USB port, dirty micro USB plug, loose physical connection at plug, but mine had none of these problem. So decided to go to service center again. asked for a new set replacement but they refused to replace for me, instead, offer to change the main board (!!)...

Now I'm waiting for the completion of the repair.

5 day old phone, with critical fault requiring a mainboard change, can't get exchange from starhub or Samsung. Sh*t happens and this is really bad luck for me. Will give update soon when I get back the phone from repair.

I had similar of charging issue (slow and decrease) on Note 10.1, I found out the issue is with power socket (on extension cord), so I change to wall socket and also test on another extension cord, so far no problem with charging anymore, from forum the issue like on unstable electric current on the extension cord. You may try on difference wall socket.

wow I read with raised eyebrows. Extension cord also cause issue? What next? Weather dependent? Faulty cable or power adapter more likely. Dirty USB also plausible....can be so stringent mah. ..might as well say need clean room.

So sorry to hear that. They will never change new set. I even witness someone bang table and started to be aggressive. I think even mgr came out. Later mgr finally tell customer if u continue to be so aggressive we reserve the rights to decline u...doing so u still don't get ur replacement. We have offered to repair now just for u but u still cannot accept if we don't take the phone to check we really cannot tell u what's wrong....The guy said give me my phone I'm gonna sue u ppl. ..and stormed off!

Case by case basis I think. Mine was replaced with a brand new set, although it was a hilarious experience. First time I went to the service centre, the CSO who served me just gave me a notice saying that the issue would be escalated to Samsung and he would call me back within 3 working days. He never called. When I went back after a week and told another CSO who got assigned to my case that the previous fella never called back, she rolled her eyes, guessed the fella's name and replaced my set with a new one within 5 minutes. :s13:

I don't think so, I think my previous S3 also has this option, but S3 don't has temp & humidity sensors.

Hmmm does anyone have problem wifi tethering other devices to your note 3? My settings are allow all devices to connect with WPA2-PSK security settings.

I tried my iphone, ipad cannot. My friend tried laptop also cannot.
If the security settings is Open, then no issues.

Anyone can help?
