So i turned off my phone for 5 mins, then turn it back on again ... seems to be gone now

hi guys, im having some problem with my note 3 (i think?).

my problem is that, when i plug a headset in and use it for phone call (be it normal call or internet call like line/skype), i can hear a bit of my feedback and that it is especially obvious if i try to blow into the mic. i have tried 2 headsets and the outcome is the same even though i dont have such problems when i use the same headsets on my note 1.

funny thing is, when i head down to plaza sing's customer service centre and i told them about my problem, the customer service personnel then talked to the technician, and she told me that she tried it on 3 different note 3, and when they blow into the mic, they could hear it.

just want to check with u guys if u all are experiencing the same thing? or isit just me.

oh btw i have to speak really close to the mic like 1cm then theres such effect, but still.. never had that in my note 1.

wind blow from a distance confirm can hear as well..

hi can any kind bros out there help to verify this??

I've tried your method but the issue still exist.. the google services still appear on the battery usage list... no option to disable or force stop...

Good morning guys, may I know how can I prolong my battery lifespan? Example; do I have to drain to 0% or can I charge at any battery level? Reason being, because i do not wish to visit the samsung service centre to change my battery. Thanks a lot and much appreciated.

Don't drain it completely. You'll shorten the lifespan of the battery like that. It's also not a good idea to constantly keep the battery fully charged, though you can charge it at any time. Lithium ion batteries don't suffer from the memory effect. My Lenovo U300S' power management feature specifically keeps the battery charged at the 50% level instead of 100% in order to prolong the battery life. On the other hand, you don't need to go to the Samsung service centre to change your battery... the Note 3's battery is easily removable. Just get a new battery for 50 bucks or so (not sure of the exact cost) and pop it in. You'll spend more time shutting down the phone than popping in the battery really.

It's typically Google Maps. The permissions for gps access for google apps are controlled by a different setting. You can turn that off via Maps -> Settings -> Google location settings -> Access location.

Is location reporting turned on? 2% is normal, but for my S3, Google Services once took up nearly 50% of the batt just because it kept trying to report my location to the maps app while not having a gps connection (indoors).

It's not consistent too. I remember location reporting drains your battery crazily quick the first few days it's turned on as it tries to learn your traveling patterns (for Google Now). After that's established, it doesn't drain much power anymore - it doesn't even register on my Note 3 now.

Note 3's camera is a hit-and-miss. Mine takes fantastic pictures, but another guy's Note 3 took pictures that came out worse than my old Desire S. He ended up going for a 1-to-1 exchange and the new set at least came with a camera that worked properly. Wait a while for the Note 3 teething stage to settle before making a judgement on whether it's worth it to consider this device. Its camera will definitely not match the 1020's if that's your main consideration. I don't think it even matches the 925's. :s13:

My Note 3 has a serious battery drain problem.
It gets hot around the camera.
Even when I turn off the display, it is still hot.
It drains fast and last only 4 to 5 hours.

I checked the battery chart and was surprised that Google services used up 56% of the battery even though I checked there is no active Google services running.
Seems like I am not the only one with this problem.

For li ion battery, heat will degrade the battery, how many times you charge don't matter much.
