All 3 seem great phones to me.

But can iPhone and Sony Z1 use a stylus for handwriting? This feature is very important to me.

exactly. it doesnt makes sense for us to pay a deposit yet we cant reserve the color we want

Since we pay deposit we should get to specify colour AND not have to queue up super early to ensure there is supply. We all have queue numbers so i should b able to stroll in at 12pm & collect my phone in the colour i want.

If there is a queue, it should only be ppl before me i.e. no 1 to 5. If no 7 or 8 is in the queue, i should be allowed to cut queue since my number is smaller. And there should be NO ppl who did not preorder in this queue.

Otherwise its pointless to have preorder system. I dont know how much your phone costs but out of good faith i am willing to pay deposit to secure a set, yet i have to wake up super early to join the snaking queue & despite that, i am the 1000th person in the queue & have to camp there till midnight.

If like that might as well not preorder.

Its like my stupid dentist. I make appt at 10am & when i arrive BEFORE 10am i am told someone walked in before me so i must wait. If the appt before me is still with the dentist i can accept. But u accept a walk in knowing full well u have an appt with me at 10am. So despite my appt at 10am, by the time i see the dentist its almost 12pm.

Like that make appt for what? Might as well i just walk in since walk ins can cut queue.

The specs says note 3 accepts microsdhc cards. Saw a samsung brand microsdxc card. Any idea if that will work also?

I preordered last week. Didnt ask about release date but asked about colour. Some ppl here were told cant choose colour & is first come first serve. For mine she scribbled on the reservation sheet my preferred colour. Some ppl here claim their reservation receipt had their preferred colour printed.

Very confusing. Hope samsung can do better in future & get their stores to standardise. IMO the problem is the shops are not samsung run but run by 3rd party shops so some may say or do different things in hope of securing the sale.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear pre-orders go live in India, dual-SIM version spotted online

Consumers in India waiting to buy the Galaxy Note 3 can now pre-order the device directly from Samsung’s website. Also, images of what seem to be a dual-SIM version of the Note 3 have leaked online.

Samsung is asking customers to put down $30 (Rs. 2,000) for the Note 3 pre-order. The Note 3 and Galaxy Gear bundle is also available for pre-order, and the smartwatch in itself would cost around $315 (Rs. 20,000). Final prices have not been announced yet, but it is likely that the Galaxy Note 3 will cost somewhere around $789 (Rs. 50,000) in the country and will launch by the end of the month. Samsung has an official announcement set for September 17th.

Meanwhile, images of a dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy Note III have surfaced online. The model number is SM-N9002, and this version is a dual-SIM variant that is destined to head to China’s China Unicom, and will work on GSM/WCDMA networks. The device features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chip, which means a 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. The dual-SIM variant has lesser internal memory at 16 GB, and RAM has also been knocked down to 2.5 GB. This version of the Note III will also come with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Cannot lor! Xperia Ultra can use a pencil or similar object but Z1 cannot! And i think batt life of Z1 is pretty bad from all the reviews so i think i will not consider that anymore, somemore it's non-removable batt woah lau. Carry a 5" elephant with a flat batt.

Z1 is $998 or 988 can't remember, same as 16GB iPhone 5S

If i were you i would leave le. Say you have appt that you NEED to keep. Maybe the dentist need a quickie, who knows what is happening inside for the walk in .

I think once the price announced the telco will take deposit and ask for colour preference le. Isn't it suppose to be like that?

I think being gian png or not is not the point. if your pre order was same like the others which is supposed to be bundled together, then it's a matter of principle.

I understand Note 3 comes with a USB 3 cable. So if our PC or Mac only has a USB 2 port, we would need to get a converter I guess?

But you'll need a USB 3.0 port for it to charge faster and transfer data faster and provided you use this cable.
