Crap. That's a 200 dollar deduction for one small dot in the corner.

Is it cos your phones have no defect? From this thread I see alot of comments on how anal compasia is 😑
dot = dead pixel = need to change whole lcd which costs more than 200.

Huh, can CompAsia reject trade-in? The overtrade is from Samsung, not them, they can take in device worse case at $0 right (overtrade from Samsung still valid)?
can reject. they can cancel the trade in then samsung will take back the 500 also

Yes I can order it tonight. Question is do I get the $500 overtrade with the $300 discount all in all?

Cause the $500 is from the note 20 ultra so my concern is will they take in. If not I will lose out the $500
$500 over trade can be stacked along with your CRP promo code ($300). Existing RRP discount will also apply.

I dropped my phone from bed twice last week. Once dropped, all the carefulness gone.

So question I have is, I can still get the $800 <$500+$300>. Just that maybe the initial offered $x from compasia becomes $0 in the worst case scenario, am I right?

By right la. But as mentioned above, they can also reject your phone if it's really bad. So far though, seems like no one here got their trade in phone rejected. The guy who collected from me said they rejected cos no S Pen. Not sure about other situation that they will reject.

your contract gives them very wide ambit "if device condition does not match declaration". basically see the mood of the guy collecting
Lol, I see but if declare correctly they cannot reject right? e.g. not working, screen crack, button faulty, at most $0 trade in but over trade still will apply.

Just to check, im resetting my old phone to prepare for trade in. I entered recovery mode and cleared all personal data then restart phone. But after connecting to my wifi, it asked me to input pin to continue. End up the pin is the same pin that i was using after i reformat.

But after that, i did not set up anything at all, google acct, samsung acct, pw. And i checked the security and its set to swipe.

So in the event that compasia takes my phone and reformat again, will it prompt them to input a pin after connecting to wifi?

That's odd, I tested my phone after reset no such issue.

It was only during the setup that forces me to connect to wifi, then the next step must enter pin frm before reset, cant skip at all.

After entering homescreen, i removed wifi pw and the option to key in pin disappeared le. Just worried if compasia will find me for this after tradein and they ownself reset.

I used the phone reset and recovery reset function le.

Lol you want to tell them you still waiting for device? 😂
I mean you can right? Since they say the status might not be accurate?

The agents at their help desk really ah...

They seriously need some serious training on how to handle customers better.
