Alright, I've the review units from Samsung Singapore already.
Here are some quick thoughts as an owner of the Tab S9 Ultra for 2 years.
- Tab S11 does not have the anti-reflective coating found on the Tab S11 Ultra. But Samsung does sell an anti-reflective screen protector for S$38
- Tab S11 Ultra is crazy thin at 5.1mm, same as 13-inch M4 iPad Pro. The tablet actually can flex if you flex it, but of course it's not going to bend if you don't bend it
- Pogo pin connectors are moved to the back so previous model accessories cannot be used.
- The 1600 peak brightness makes it more usable for use under sunlight (before it overheats due to heat)
- S Pen has better tilt sensitivity due to new design
- S Pen new design makes it difficult to find the side button
- Pen tips for old S Pen cannot be used with the new pen which uses a bigger pen tip
- Magnetic stands for the Tab S8, S9 cannot be used because Tab S11 camera size is bigger. I do not have Tab S10 so I cannot say whether the camera size is the same.
- New SamsungDex within tablet needs time to get used to. Classic SamsungDex only available when connected to external display
- Battery life is around 8hr+ with above average brightness. Battery capacity for the Ultra is slightly higher even though tablet is thinner.
- Genshin Impact graphics settings default is High. My Tab S9 Ultra default graphics setting is Low.
- Samsung OneUI looks good
- The keyboard case without the touchpad isn't as useful as the one with the touchpad
If you're thinking of upgrading, I would recommend to S10 because it's now cheaper, or S11 because you know you need the higher brightness for outdoor use.
My Tab S9 Ultra still runs fast with the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 even though the S11 Mediatek Dimensity 9400+ is almost 2 times faster.
