Then it is a even better opportunity to move on, the longer you keep the more wear and tear happens! Samsung will be everyone's safe anchor!

If i recall correctly, SanDisk comes with lifetime warranty vs Samsung coming with up to 10 years warranty (between 5 years iirc for the EVO or Essential Series, the PRO having 10...)

From my experience, Samsung MicroSDHC are very reliable. I've only had damaged SanDisk card, not Samsung ones. Mine is the Samsung Plus.

Pro is of course better.

Samsung pro is in grey, samsung evo is in bright orange.

Pro uses a better and more durable kind of chip vs the Evo, so its better also...

Thats in my consideration before purchase, however I reckon in 5 to 10 years time 64GB or 128GB will be the "minimum" standard. Eg. 64MB in the past.

I bought a Samsung PLUS 32GB MicroSD card more than 2 years back and its performing well till now. No lag from the card even when I got less than 1GB of free space. Still working real well. Although Iam in need of a bigger capacity now. Wondering if Samsung will bring in the 128GB range. :D

for lagging the device itself plays a part right ? as in the ram of the device..... was thinking 64gb card 1 time can hoot all the drama inside..... @ least 2 season to last ....

Will have to see if the target phone is able to support 128GB card. If it is able to support that, I dont see how lag it will be. Erm, for file size, my videos almost all are in HD format or with DTS sound. So the file size is slightly larger. And for me, all videos, music, photos, documents are in SD card, which includes photos and videos taken. The 32GB internal storage are only for app data (games). So the higher capacity the SD card, the better it is. :D

Saw the 128GB once. But not from Samsung Store. From a quite popular mobile shop. So Iam not sure if the stock is from Samsung or imported (didnt ask).:s22:

Know that Xiaomi are not able to support large microsd card so from the start, Xiaomi is already struck off my list when looking out for phones.:D

It all depends on individual. If you got no need for that capacity, of cause getting it is an extra (just nice to have but not a must). But for the speed and some extra "protection", its good to have around. At least the data is "safe" and the speed is good. :D

Well, Xiaomi is really value for money. As for that price to chunk out its specs. It all boils down to what do the user look for in the phone. :D

samsung cards seems quite reliable...was told by a friend dealing in such cards that generally, there are less problems with samsung cards being used on samsung phones and tablets vs other brands such as sandisk, lexar etc.

a slight premium if you buy from reliable sources at special prices...if follow srp prices, then the premium appears to be more...eg. can buy genuine samsung 32GB evo class 10 microsd below S$30 easily...but srp is $45 and most superstores sell at $39-45.
