Any idea if we dont ROI, still able to get the phone after this period? Or it's limited edition?

Should be can. According to Samsung's Note Edge announcements, customers who have registered their interests with telcos will be able to get the phone on the 21st, while those who did not can get it from 22nd onwards. As long as they sell it in Singapore, telcos will carry it ba, no reason to offer plans only to ROI customers, doesn't justify the advertising and admin costs.

Just went down yesterday to test the demo set...Now I'm tempted to get the edge. The side screen really set itself apart from Note 4 aesthetically although the specs are almost the same. Headache headache...

anyone preordering from Samsung stores?

sales person try to entice me with Sure Win lucky dip, prizes include Note 4...

Telco subsidy not attractive also...blah...
hmm don't seem to find any price plan comparison anywhere, not even on hwz. hmm what telco subsidy you referring to? the freebies or ?

seems like there are ppl deciding b/w note 4 & note edge, and I did a quick calculation based on the contract pricing b/w the two phones.

taking ST's mid tier plan for example, combo 3 ($62.90):

Note 4 - $388 (RRP: 1,088)
Edge - $548 (RRP: 1,248)

Difference is $160 for both contract pricing and RRP. Subsidy seems to be the same.

taking SH's mid tier plan for example, 4G 4 ($62.90):

Note 4 - $399
Edge - $549

Difference is $150.

taking M1's mid tier plan for example, ($61)

Note 4 - $388
Edge - $549

Difference is $160. Same as ST.

Not sure you all know or not.

M1 website did indicate that there is a $100 off for new line sign up.

$449. Just need to input a code.

I also like M1's price...but M1 got no 4G+...

Haven't tried it, not sure if it is a significant improvement, but the main reason I want a snapdragon805 phone is the 4G+ support.

Anybody knows what are the corporate plans and port-in offered by the telcos?

Starhub gives about 20% off subscription and 12mths free caller-id or auto roaming.

Not sure about Singtel, heard there's $150 port in for their combo plans.

M1 have 4G+ lah.

Using my Alpha now. Got 4g+ coverage. Only thing for sure is in building across all telco may not have 4g+.

Speedtest at various places still can go between 60mbps- 120mbps.

This is for sure on no contract pricing.

But for sign up line, will take ages before they drop.

Problem with telco is they always take SRP and sell at that range. After 6mths then they revise the pricing. Even though still not attractive.
