when the phone is near the reader, will it auto wake up like apple pay?
or every time must swipe up to open samsung pay?
cuz last time some forumers mentioned samsung pay also can auto wake up like apple pay without the swipe up gesture.

I noticed yesterday they did sent out a notification citing that the freebies was fully redeemed though.

btw i noticed that for apple pay, if u wait for the phone to auto wake up when put near the reader (with finger on touchid fully prepared), need to wait for 1-2 sec to turn on screen, then 1-2 sec again for fingerprint and transaction. total around 3-4 sec to complete a transaction.
but if double click to bring up apple pay then verify fingerprint first (same as samsung pay method), then when tap the phone, less than half a sec will immediately see the tick and transaction complete.

i prefer the way china does payment using wechat pay or alipay

q code is printed in receipt

just scan to make payment

foolproof n safe

contactless payment is risky

it is a very simple process

you either link you bank account or top up wechat account

when you paying bill a qr code will be printed on receipt

scan the qr code n it will show bill on app

user fingerprint or passworf, payment will be done

lower risk n no exchange of data between phone n a possible compromised terminal

Hahas.. well well well.. some times they already know previous customers have tried and it didn't work, or sometimes they tell u out of monetary concerns.

I had cashiering experience also, and even if my company can accept certain cards, I need to tell them I can't accept because in the end, the transaction fee will eat into my commission. Hahas!

Tried to pay via MST at a shop today, and their machine was kinda old. Failed the first time (probably due to my positioning of the phone).

When I asked the cashier to try again, it captured but I'm required to enter the 3 digit code behind my CC. Had to dig out my card and key in.

So might be best to note down your number somewhere just in case.

u have mixed up. MST is not contactless... it's magnetic strip (contact payment).
"contactless" is a generic term... u should be more specific.
ezlink, nets flashpay are also contactless payments, u can just top up $10 and at most u just lose $10... i don't think it's unsafe.

I assume it is contactless as the drive for NFC was for contactless payment gateway

RFID signal carry a risk...that is why got anti-rfid pouch.

Signal emitting from mobile is worst as it can be used to get info in the phone

That is why In App is more popular in China, helped by the fact that wechat is universal app in China

no need the real cvv code. just key in 000 or any 3 digits will do..

u should read up more on the technology used by samsung pay apple pay, esp their security features.

btw... u can use Dash which is more like wechat pay if u don't like credit card payments.
