Sry my bad. Confused myself between nfc tag and nfc mobile wallet. Nfc tag is built into the phone and doesn't required nfc sim. Just need to activate nfc and setup credit card to use on nfc terminal.

Mobile wallet required nfc sim. All the 3 main telco have their own version of mobile wallet.

Ezlink is a new thing that need nfc sim as well. But only applicable to new nfc sim that is bought after ezlink sim launch date.
Actually with Samsung Pay and NFC transit SIM available, there does not appear to be any value in using these mobile wallet services anymore. Unless I'm missing something...

M1 mobile wallet doesn't required debit/credit card.

Anyway, i've only registered recently since it's free and there was some promo. But haven't really started using yet. Only using the nfc sim as ezlink for now.

Mrt travel required ezlink. The M1 NFC Prepaid MasterCard is a contactless payment service that enables you to make secure mobile payments at all MasterCard Paypass-accepting merchants worldwide. As the name sugggest, u'll need to topup in order to use. Not sure abt online purchase tho.

Though i set the m1 mobile wallet as default card whenever i tap at subway , it auto pay thru android pay instead ?? Note there are some money inside the m1 prepaid card and using s6 edge

For those using ezlink nfc for transit, what's your setting in "if open apps support tap and pay"...? My setting was "still use samsung pay"... am wondering whether that was the root cause to the error i'm getting at downtown gantry. My default tap and pay is samsung pay btw.

Doesn't matter, as long as you have the NFC SIM, it should work

Use samsung pay is it same processing speed as visa paywave?

yeah, response time should be the same. in fact even before you get close to the reader like how a card should be, the reader would have already beeped to indicate it has read your phone.

at least thats how it happened to me..

no that doesn't matter. in fact if you use samsung pay and not other payment app, then it should be left as samsung pay.

nfc transit ezlink dont work on the same algorithm as the contactless payment, needless to say nfc transit don't even rely on the payment app at all.

if you don't believe, turn off your phone completely, shut it down. As long as the phone's battery is not completely flat and the phone is powered off, the nfc transit will still work. you can still tap the phone like a normal ezlink card even when its powered down completely.
