Those newer machines from NETS. I had to try at least 4 times to get it thru. It always says transaction cancelled right?

I noticed samsung pay does not work well with nets terminal recently. Very high chance of payment not accepted. but if use with other terminals, like those used in cold storage/ntuc, no problem at all.

however, apple pay works with any terminals. talk about compatibility. sigh..

Ya, either "Transaction cancelled/declined", or the terminal doesn't detect anything at all. One question: Do you leave NFC turned on permanently? Or you let it auto enable when it thinks you are using Samsung Pay?

you can off it if you want. whether it is on or off, doesn't affect performance of battery much.

samsung pay app has the root permission to toggle NFC on when its in use.

if samsung or nets folks are here, please go check ur system. really sux to get the payment rejected and the cashier staring at you.

In Tiong Bahru Plaza (right below your office, lol) The Tongue Tip Beef Noodles at level 2. That's the model I think has issues. Using Samsung Pay on Samsung Gear S3 sometimes takes like 7-8 times to get the transaction done. On Note8 probably 2-3 times.

Another place: Collins at Marina Square. Same terminal model. Same number of attempts.

the starting days were easy, even got 40 plus. then national day, then got two weekends

no need. there is no time frame limit any more.

in fact, this 5mins thingy was for the accumulation of samsung rewards points, which they already removed since 2 app updates ago..
