Is the appointment based on alphabetical order?
My bro got his appointment which is on 29th Nov.
while am in the top 10 no. bt yet to receive any news about the appointment date.

Aiyo, Haz.86 why you worry. Since you got the top 10 number. Sure can get what you are aiming for. Sit back and relax...:)

Need some 1 advice here..

I have a balloted number of 12xx for Jul BTO and on hand i have a 26x/224 in Sengkang Sep SOBF. Was looking forward to the SK Sep SOBF but looking at the take up rate of Jul BTO, i might be called up for selection. i have also gave up 1 chance for May BTO.

Question is, if i gave up my selection for Jul Punggol BTO, will my balloted number for SK Sep SOBF be gave up as well?

Need you guys great advice.
Thank you.

Hi Haz,

I'm no 12 in your bro's shortlisted area, & my date is 5th Dec, so should be based on area. Mind tell me which unit he has his eyes on, so I can strike it off my list. Also, maybe he and I can bunch together to get a better reno quote, since will be 2 projects for Interior Designer within same area? :s13:

If you are worried, I'd suggest u call HDB. The operator will check the system for their updates & if there are no updates, divert u to the officer in charge of your selected area. Then u will have a direct person u can keep hounding for updates.. Rather than being passive and wait for their updates. Hehe.

Noted that Clementi has also started, 12 units are grabbed

- wonder how many units are processed each day?
- read from previous forum that drop-out rate can be 20-30%, sounds very high to me.
Does HDB publish official data about drop-out rate for each estate?

That should be fine. Your balloted q no for SK is only cancelled when you have selected the July bto one. But next time of application, you will highly likely be demoted to 2nd timer.

Did you also apply BM from July bto? My q no is 89x and kena called for selection (which is today). Think mostly you will be safe.. by looking at ur q no.

I seriously do not understand why HDB cannot simply automate this. They can actually allow buyers select the units online based on the queue number. So once the top buyer select his, the next one can go ahead. All this can be done within a stipulated period

After that, they can proceed to book an appt date/time to make payment for the booking.

Totally not efficient.

Note: Making booking payment = complete the paperwork

Actually I think their current process is fine. Buying a house is not the same as buying vegetables at the market or booking movie tickets. They need to walk through the financial and legal implications before you make the decision to commit to the option fee. If we follow your process to let everyone book first, you would see less dropouts during the selection. More would then lose their option fee and be barred for a year, and those that could have selected better units because of drop outs don't get the option to do so.

On top of that, HDB requires verification of identities as well as signatures as well. Thus, parties must be present, as like most of the cases where formal/legal documents require signatures.
