hello everyone! i've finally gotten my keys, and here are a couple of tips for those who are still waiting. i did not apply for ahg, so your scenario and waiting time may differ from mine.
- first appointment - the thing you fill in and have to submit is the hle loan form.
- after submitting the hle loan form online, and all the documentation required, it took about 3 weeks to 1 month for my hle to be approved.
to chase hle approval, you should log into hdb online, the left side has a link which says "hle". click on the email address there to use the hdb online system to contact the staff. there is a checkbox which says "reply required". check on that.
once you check that almighty awesome checkbox, somehow the staff on the loan team is damn on the ball in following up with you. my suspicion is that enquiries logged through there has to be replied within a certain timeframe.
if you copy that email address and email them directly, they seem to ignore your email most of the time.
- after your hle is approved, the loan amount will be reflected on the hdb online. there will be this appointment for you to go down and sign the hle loan papers. this took about 2 weeks for me to get this appointment.
- after signing these papers, the 2nd appointment can be fixed. this took another 2 weeks for me.
in total for me, the entire process from 1st appointment to key collection is 2 months.
hope this helps.
