Yea so actually the grant isn't helping much. Couples who are still immature are forced to make life decisions by putting their names on bto. Families who eagerly needs a place have to go for resale (less waiting time) but at a higher price. How to manage financially?? :/

HDB resale prices has been declining / stagnanting due to the "99 year lease" issue so there are some opportunities available for buyers

There are but still quite a discrepancy between new and old flat prices plus reno. And also need to take into consideration the interior condition like pipings for old flats.

Will be signing the Agreement for Lease & collecting the keys to my new home tomorrow morning. Finally, after the long wait.. šŸ˜

I selected and booked my flat on 03/10, collecting keys tomorrow. So it's about 2.5 months for me. Could be earlier as I inform HDB that I going overseas for 1.5 months beforehand, told them I coming back on 17/12 & they make appt for me 20/12.

Congrats! When did they give you your appointment date? I want to know how much advanced notice they give.
