Hi all, seeking advice here.. let's say i wish to ballot for 4-room jurong east/west area with my pr wife, the current stats is 18 units available with 278 applicants and counting, chances will be super low right? Since the first timer stats is at 11.x now..

Right now we have a child, and i believe MCPS is applicable.. however there's no way to know that out of these 278 applications if there's alot more same scheme ones?

If you were like us wanting a place of your own soon, you'd go for somewhere like sembawang right? Thanks for any input in advance.

Well, yes. If you are in a hurry, go for those estates which have lower application rates. Low as in below 1.0 ~ otherwise you can consider resale.

MCPS and PPS doesn't guarantee a good q number. Luck still plays an important part.

Ive got my SBF during previous launch le, good luck!

They say no quota for mcps means still will consider your family stay nearby or not??

Actually it means mcps still can use or cannot?

If there are only 16 units available and got 40+ applicants with MCPS and the remaining are without MCPS.. how do the "system" assign? :s11:

I dunno Leh.

Does it mean mcps they usually set aside a flat but since sobf got many people limited flats...so they do not set aside but u use mcps u will still have priority over others?

Good to know.. thanks man. So it's right to say pps will have more priority than other first timers including mcps?

Flat allocation
Up to 30% of BTO units and 50% of SBF units are allocated to applicants under this scheme.

Eligibility conditions
You must be a first-timer applying as a married couple. In addition, you must either be expecting your first Singapore Citizen child at the time of your application, or have at least 1 Singapore Citizen child aged below 16 (natural offspring from the lawful marriage or legally adopted).

Thanks again for the info.. Alrighty, seems like a good policy for families with child. 50% of sbf is the total quantity or just the desired area and flat type?

Let's say only 18 units available so only 9 units set for pps? If more than 9 applicants on pps scheme, then ballot will take place?

Got 1 question, if I get my flat during SOBF, when I get the keys, how much time do I have to sell my old flat?

Sobf is always by flat type and desired area..

For your example of 18 units and only 9 for PPS, if there is 15 applicant then they will be doing the same lucky draw..So only 9 will definitely get a number under PPS, while the other 6 since nv kena a ballot ticket under PPS will now have to see if their public scheme ticket gets them a valid results.

Gixxerfied, if the same example of 18 units and 25 got valid PPS? The non-PPS applicants will stand no chance??

The 16 (ie 25-9) who didn't get a number under the PPS scheme will join the rest of the applicants with no scheme at all and fight it out for the remaining 15%…so they still may get a number.

Ultimately it boils down to luck...I have friends who didn't qualify for PPS and MCPS but still managed to get a very good number
