Also need to factor in key collection date. For sembawang, you need to get married by about 2Q 2017? I'm guessing the project completion date might be brought forward

Hi. same! i applied for may sembawang bto as well but gotten a sucky q no. hopefully this time round able to get a unit. actually was considering for yishun or sembawang but looking at the units supply i believe sembawang chances are much more higher than yishun. so i gg for 4 rms sembawang! personally i think MCPS is useless, i was under mcps scheme for may bto but still gotten a sucky q no.

I seriously think that chances are very high in getting a unit at sembawang for this sobf due to the supply..

Actually im wondering hw they go abt doing the mcps priority scheme. Since 30% of the flats reserved for mcps, I guess they probably give ppl under mcps numbers up till 20% above flat supply. Like for e.g. may canberra bto has 383 units, they add 20% to that which is abt queue 460 and out of these 460 queue numbers given out, 30% are mcps applicants. I applied under mcps too and got a very beautiful queue number of 383 out of 383 units. But still got the may 2015 canberra bto so I have no complaints.

And yes, the hdb projects directly next to eastlink 1 and 2 in canberra were grossly undersubscribed simply because no mrt was announced then. I would say its worth it to gey these sobf since convenience is a big plus now that the mrt station is confirmed as well as the bonus of the community plaza as well as sports hub within walking distance! Rly curious how the price will rise nw that the mrt has been announced too. But pricing wise I believe shld b quite good, my future house will be 1 minute away frm the mrt and I got it at 268k :)

You got 383 out of 383??!! Then what was the drop out rate? 268k is mid floor right?

For those who are thinking of applying the Sembawang SOBF, do also keep in mind that Canberra MRT will only be opened in 2019. So if you were to collect keys in 2017, traveling to Yishun or Sembawang as the nearest station might pose as an issue to consider.

Hi guys sorry if this is a noob question but,
What is a Second-timer families in the SBF application rate?
Are they defined as Second-timer because they applied the first time, and didn't get a queue?

Or are they defined as Second-timer because they bought a house from HDB directly before, and now upgrading by buying directly a second time?

I guess the latter is the correct definition?
I may have confused the definition of Second-timer by the former.

true enough, unless u got a car or else its gonna be quite a trouble to travel to the nearest mrt station. right now there really lack of public transport
