got ask why not considered online transaction?

Standard Chartered said:
We would like to seek your kind understanding that 7% Cashback on any online transaction is not identified by us as it will be based on codes assigned by Visa.
They basically blamed VISA for assigning a non-online code. Caveat emptor.

That's the standard answer... From what I understand, that is what happens behind the scene too, and not limited to SC at that.

Hi all, is airbnb eligible for the 7% rebate? I intend to use this card to book overseas accommodation.

Hi all

I called SC and the Uber ** is on top of 7%. Should see in the next month.

I'm wondering now if I use Paypal to pay for my uber rides and Paypal is linked to my SC card, whether that Paypal transaction get 7% cash back as well as the 20%?

Anyone any idea?

Think via paypal will not get the 20%. Should charge direct to the card for 7%+20% if meet both spending requirements. Note the 7% spending requirement is by statement month, the 20% is by calendar month and with many exclusions.

Tried finding, can't find the t&c for the qualifying retail spends

Every bank does that, DBS too with their LF card. Though one could try calling up their CSO to see if they are willing to credit the cashback.

I recently called up SC about missing cashback for online purchases, they credited it within a few days.

For DBS LF card, I've had the same issues but they required me to send them email receipts which I did, along with the 3-D Secure sms (verified by visa code). A lot of work just for the extra cashback. Probs why I shifted all my online purchases to SC.

Thing is, 3-D Secure (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3-D_Secure) is used for online transactions. If I receive the Verified by Visa sms from DBS, but not receive the cashback for online purchases then it's strange.

DBS eventually credited the cashback to me but I'm not sure if I want to go through the same process every month. This was in April though, things might have changed.

Did you get 20% or 27% for Uber? I got 20 only for scb vi

Sent from Samsung GT-N7105 using GAGT

20 percent for up to uber spend 250 aka rebate of 50, if spend 600 in a calender month (not bill cycle) on each card. Payout monthly

7 percent for singpost card if cycle spend (not calender mth) more than 600. Payout each mthly statement date

10 perecent for vi up to 1k per calender quarter for rebate of up to 100. Payout every quarter

So if I spend 600 a month on vi,
The other month I spend on vi uber,

250 get 30 percent rebate (20+10)
150 get 20 percent rebate (150+250+400=1k)
200 get no rebate (250+150+200=600)

Last month DBS credited me the missing dbs 9x points for dbs wwmc for uber/grab without need for receipt.
