The effective fees for all banks will include the 1% imposed by Visa/Masters etc and fees charged by the bank itself. In writing, some banks separate the two, some banks don't separate and just state the effective fees. Doesn't really matter whether separate in writing or not, ultimately just need to know what is the effective fees.

I see. So since ICBC states "administrative fee of 2.5%", I can assume that already includes the 1% visa/mc charge?

For the CIMB Card , I frequently use it for 10% Dining Cashback, so the 8 x $30 is not a problem .

Some of my regular Restaurants are willing to help me split a $100 bill into 3 parts of $30 each , so that helps too .

- cashback cap is $60 per month
- 2% cashback for local paywave/mobile payment and online. There is no cap at fairprice other than the $60 cashback per month. Paywave can be tapped $200 each time but no stopping from tapping multiple times.
- 3% is for foreign online (not local). No point cos 3.5% forex fees will be incurred resulting in a loss.
- Should be $120 cashback for new sign up and make 5 mobile transactions.

Npt sure where u get all these misconceptions. Everything clearly stated in the official website.

i signed up for both spree and unlimited, only wanted one of it, but the sale person keep push two and tick for me both. i like wtf.

but back to the point, the $120 cash back no requirements right? this is what i was told "just need to activate the card and i will get it."

i only want to use one of the card, too lazy to manage both. 0.5% doesnt make much difference right? currently learning towards unlimited because of the ez-reload function... save my trouble of topping my flashpay for my carparks and erp. or it cant be use for carpark entry?

on the side note, any cards that have rebates/cashback for bills/season parking?

Does anyone know if NETS transactions performed on this card qualifies for the "Other Retail Spend" 1% cash back? Couldn't find any such info online.

Also, SCB doesn't allow for linking of current/saving accounts to credit cards via online banking? IIRC, DBS does have that option

How to terminate and get the refund?
if u didnt activate the reload with the SMS code, it should not be topping up $50 on your behalf.

does anyone know for credit cards such as scb spree which gives cashback on foreign currency spending, is it a requirement to pay via visa/master directly from the credit card or is the use of paypal (linked to the cc) also possible?

I disabled the currency conversion nonsense and made purchases via Paypal and they processed as 3%.

See https://www.sc.com/sg/terms-and-conditions/spree-credit-card-terms-and-conditions/
The examples they show in TnC show that Paypal processes as online transactions. It also shows that some Paypal transactions that are excluded. Most online shopping should be fine.

In order to be considered 'foreign currency', you might need to disable the stupid automatic currency conversion setting on Paypal:
https://www.pointhacks.com.au/how-to-change-credit-card-billing-currency-in-paypal/ (not my guide, and the new interface might be slightly different)
