Nice promo
https://www.sc.com/sg/campaign/uber/#terms-conditions

From 1 October 2016 to 30 September 2017, enjoy 20% cashback on Uber fares in Singapore and overseas up to $50 each month. Simply charge a monthly minimum of $600 on eligible retail spends to your Standard Chartered Credit Card.

nice promo. but is this $50 rebate included in the max rebate from SCB Singpost card or on top of it?

There is pay by mastercard and pay by masterpass. For masterpass, you can register Visa also. I havent tried though, may be this time I will try.

https://wallet.masterpass.com/Wallet/masterpass/en-sg/support.html

Click the question, "What cards can I use with masterpass?" There you see Visa in the options.
You cannot use visa with AXS. Even using masterpass also exclude visa, only mastercard can pay. If you never try before then don't say can. Those who tried before will know it's depend on merchant.

So basically can charge up to max $250 of Uber rides to this card, and the rest of the $350 can be online purchases, and you'll enjoy 20% off Uber and 7% off online transactions liao right?

Or whichever permutations of Uber + Online that can allow you to hit $600.

Yah, separate rebates

that means best options for taxi are

1. compare taxi/mcpass, uberx, uberpool, grab, and choose the cheapest
- taxi: estimate via grab + erp + midnight/other surcharges
- grab: estimate via grab + erp
- uberx, uberpool: direct estimate via app - promo codes

2. when using uber,
- 1st card: singpost (20-0.8%, 7%) up to first $250 per mth
- 2nd card: scb visa infinite (10-0.8%), up to $100 per 3mth
- 3rd card: dbs woman (0.4+3.6miles), up to 2k per bill cycle

3. when using grab,
- singpost (7%) up to 870 per bill cycle, OR
- dbs woman (0.4+3.6miles), up to 2k per bill cycle

is my strategy calculated correctly?

Sorry, I posted in the morning then run road (via Uber, of course!) to zoo liao :D the Uber app automatically recognises the SCB card and shows "get 20% cashback on uber rides globally".

There is a separate promo with code that is only for new users to claim $10 off the first three rides.

Seconding this as I just used Uber today. Quite nifty to be able to get 20% off right away, almost like a Uber - SCB card now haha

Apologise if this was mentioned before in this forum. Was wondering if purchasing Apple products online can get the 7% rebate?

yes since it's online purchase. i feel that SCB is better in terms of determining which transactions are made online unlike dbs live fresh (which i had to call every month and fwd them the receipts showing that it's an online purchase).

u can never assume if things are online, than automatically it is online. frank, singpost and women all can cause problems, and sometimes only for some customers, not all.

in fact, i again met with their refusal to answer the question.

How come "2nd card: scb visa infinite (10-0.8%), up to $100 per 3mth"?

I thought SCB Visa Infinite also gets 20% rebate?
