Ok, so it means even if I appeal, chance is not high? Then I wait again for next year, hope they still have good cash rebate for online purchase

exactly. If your credit report says no rating, it means the credit bureau doesn't know how to rate you due to too little credit history. To the banks, unknown info is a big risk. My advice is to spend more on your credit card and at the same time try other banks. But don't submit too many card applications as this is a red flag for the credit bureau as well

Thanks Koja.
In that case, do you have any suggestions which bank is easier for a start? Since I don't have much history... My existing credit card is a student credit card with low credit limit, and I didn't spend much before. So l don't feel like it will be of great help for building up my credit history. Will it help if I open an account with the bank I'm applying to? ( so sorry for these many questions...)

Got such thing as too clean one meh? I applied for my first OCBC credit card before my first CPF contribution even came in (OCBC have this option which give bank permission to request ur contribution history from CPF, so i dont have to submit it)... tho im not sure if being existing OCBC bank account holder helped.

Yes it certainly helps if you get cc from a bank you have an account, even better with a salary crediting bank.

My first cc was with OCBC in nov 2014. Subsequently I applied for SCB to get the $160 cashback in the same month, but got rejected. Then I applied for POSB everyday card in the same month too and it was approved.

yes it certainly helps. I started working for 1 year without any cc in hand. Then late 2014 I went to open a 360 account with OCBC for salary crediting, they jitao push 2 cc to me, instant approval. Then I started to do more research on cc and found scb giving out $160 cashback, applied and got rejected.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but does purchase of season parking online on the HDB website, or payment of bills via mysam website count as online transactions?

60 - 54.83 = 5.17
u spend over by alot?
transaction difference base on 7% is around $73 odd or slight more
unless u break down to too much transaction

i think people here all super savy in tracking each with their own method

Hmmm if there was no cap my rebate amount should have been $68.12. I only busted the cap cause I just just just got ibanking access yesterday and had no way of tracking my spendings (sometimes I forget to record in my excelsheet lol)

Have sent them an imessage and hope they will do a breakdown for me (fingers crossed).

SCB got back to me on breakdown of cashback calculations.

One of my qoo10 purchases got 2% only lol, like someone else mentioned here. :s34: I've asked them to look into it but don't know if anything will be done.

Did anybody else manage to get them to revise the cashback?

Yeah,i encountered same problem last time when purchasing qoo10 gift card. They have manually credited the other 5% to me. Since then, i always use DBS live fresh for Qoo10 gift cards, the rest can use paypal. I think its a little absurd that Qoo10 purchases are classified as grocery..

Haha that's good to know, means since I brought it up they will be more likely to give to me ba. But they should really revise their codes if this keeps happening leh..

Encountered the same problem of Qoo10 being grocery. Called StanChart and they fixed it. Kudos!
