Excuses? School canteen rent is less than 20 bucks a month. Electicity is subsidized. Food affordability is set at 3.60 per meal for students. Even coffeeshops stalls sell at that rate. Is that considered really low?

It’s up to MOe and the school to control the rental cost of individual stall owners. They can reduce it if the narrative is that individual stall owners find it hard to profit..

change to central kitchen mean school no longer collects rental income anyway

You should write to the ministers directly instead of whining about it here. This model does not affect all schools, only a select few. Schools have already done some relaxation of types of food offered as long as it is not processed foods. As for prices, they have also done adjustments over the years, but it is not easy because stalls can't charge high prices. It has to be fair balance that is not too expensive for students and not too cheap that stalls go out of business. School rental prices are usually quite cheap as it is.
