May as well employ salaried staffs to freshly cook cai png or meals at the school canteen rather than paid F&B businesses and organisations for central kitchen meals that high risk of food poisoning and lao sai ?

Minister of education is not putting school students food safety and hygiene as utmost priority ?
If every school employ own staff will add to costs. So central kitchen fits better for cost.

Minister just ensure n also wun know how they do 1 behind d scenes mah. When signing d deal they also sure guarantee things will be adhered to etc.

Do you even know the underlying reason? Its because no one wants to do it. The older generation of school canteen stall holders are retiring and there are no young takers.
of cos this happen when u cap the price for stall holders. but for SATS, the prices go up by 50%.

How much they paid those central kitchen for 1 bento?

I c the food might as well go tabao 2 veg 1 meat from cai png stalls. Order in bulk also can nego for cheaper price.

These are purely excuses. Many cites the unreasonable guidelines and price control settings etc ? There is no smoke without fire 🔥 ?

Go deeper to know the truth ?

Anything that can be settled by $$ is a non-issue ? School canteen operator or vendor is in the best interest of generation of school students ?

Incentive or even pay interested person ?

Lazy leaders take easy way out and not in the interest of student and children ? Bad leaders and leadership for the country and citizen ?

Waste time in Parliament argue or talking irrelevant to citizen issues ?
i think it is easier for the skool to deal with 1 central kitchen vs say, 5 individual stall owners complaints also. is same like managing a renovation urself and dealing with every contractor vs hire an ID and just deal with 1 guy

Excuses? School canteen rent is less than 20 bucks a month. Electicity is subsidized. Food affordability is set at 3.60 per meal for students. Even coffeeshops stalls sell at that rate. Is that considered really low?
Difference is one open for 12 hours the other only 2 hours during recess time..

Like some say this won't stop since MOE already put into motion.
What should be done is:
1) MOE have to setup central kitchen based on zone.
Example West, Central, East and etc.
Cuz many of these central kitchen are either in Tuas, Boon Lay, Pandan loop,
Senoko and Changi.
2) Schools have to choose the central kitchen that is closer to them.
The delivery truck have to travel and worse nowadays SG road is very jialat.
Jam here jam here the food sure spoil one if delivery take too long.
3) Onsite kitchen like some say.

MOE has to stop focusing on cost cuz after HCI and River Valley incident.
Is just show this central kitchen was implemented it is executed very poorly.
River valley incident I suspect is due to food contamination either delivery take too long
or central kitchen hygiene lapse.

RV choose of kitchen is based in Tuas/Boon Lay and going to River Valley in the morning
is jam all the way on the AYE.
