The arrival taxi queue can take quite some time due to the long Qs when flights arrives...so the easy way is to go to Departure level and get the cab there....

But sometimes Departure hall bo taxi also if landing at those weird timings... :o

So far all my 5 trips to bangkok since feb this year always reach arrival hall taxi counter, always have cab.

Taxi fare from don muang airport to Pratunam Mall

I realise Scoot Airline is flying to Don Muang Airport now. My first time to this airport, Can anymore advise me the taxi fare from don muang airport to Pratunam Mall? Should i ask the driver to go by meter? I dont want to get con by the cab drivers.

Thanks all!

Get your taxi from the counter then. The flat fare is written on a slip of paper. Always go by meter otherwise, and the toll, if any, has to be paid by the passenger.

DMK is much better cos clearance is faster and it has lesser passengers. DMK is nearer to city ctr. Btw its platinum mall. My cheapest cab was 200-250 baht by meter w toll charges.

hi all! just got back from bkk with scoot. (i'm the OP who was complaining abt this change :D )

40 mins before scheduled time to fly yet the queue at the check in line is still really long. only 2 counters attending to us yet there are so many scoot fliers due to bigger plane.

scheduled time to fly already but we were all still queueing at the gate.

haha wth in the end, reach singapore 1am instead of 12am.

i have to agree DMK is a much more convenient airport. 20mins by cab reached already sia but i think i kena con. cabbie charge me 500 baht with toll haha. i would definitely go by DMK again butttttt maybe with other airasia. not with scoot.

Just got back from BKK.

Once you reach DMK airport, go the gate 6 and take A1 shuttle bus (30 baht per pax) to Mochit BTS Station (about 20 minute).
Get down at Phaya Thai or Phetchaburi and switch to Airport Link and get down at Ratchaprarop station.
Hope this helps for people taking public transport to Pratunam area.

Stayed at Baiyoke, terrible experience. Girlfriend felt uneasy at night, was not able to sleep. Small cockroaches in the room and pungent smell with the carpet.Good view though.

Location was good as well. Smacked right in the middle of Pratunam market. I think platinium fashion mall is good enough to shop already. About 4 levels of shopping for females and 1/2 levels for male. Girlfriend made a killing there. Most people were shopping with a trolley bag so please do remember to get one when going there.

Remember to have small change when taking tuktuk or taxis. Took most tuktuk ride at about 100 to 150 baht on average.
