I would need some help on recommendation please.

- 32GB
- Performance but still within the value range (not to the extend of Sandisk Extreme or Samsung Pro family)
- Phone usage (does it mean 4k random r/w is more important?)

Now not sure getting either Sandisk Ultra(SDSQUNC, 80MB/s advertised read) or Samsung Evo+. Or is there similar priced but better performance cards out there? Both cards should be around $15 to $17 now.

Thanks in advance!

SanDisk Ultra Gen 3 would be more suited in this case.

You can also think of Lexar.

Howevern for 4K, none of them may suit your needs. Check the reviews for UHS class 3 cards for safer recording.

Also note that 4K files will be big - so consider a 64GB

xtramadness, thanks for the hard work done.

Hope to see the Sandisk Ultra 200GB review as well.

Sorry, what I meant about the 4K is the random read/write speeds. Don't think I am going to shoot in 4K video.

For the Lexar, where would be a good place to get it? The 633x one seems like it will cost more than $20. Is the 300x one still good?

633x will definittely cost (think of it as the SanDisk Extreme in Lexar's lineup). Plus ithas a pretty good card reader (better than those samsung, strontium etc. In fact that good that I use it everyday.

You can get it online @ videopro or if you want, I can help you order. :) just drop me an email or BBM.

Assuming your coming from the mobile use perspective, however, SanDisk is more appropriate, followed by Lexar. Transcend (premium & above), GoldFlash Plus (it seems similar to the Jaba one being sold online now, but I cannot confirm as I never ordered that) are also pretty good alternatives (transcend may cost abit).

If country of origin matters, most are made in taiwan, korea. SanDisk in China.

Samsung Evo+ is philippines if I recall right

Hi all,

I recently purchase an sandisk extreme pro 64gb microsdxc.

Would like to run do an check if it is authentic, how do i go about doing it?

I will have to format first then just run the test or just run the test straight using H2testw?

In a normal error free context, esp for extreme pro - no

But for:
- i/o error
- card failure
Yes.

Fake card:
- may or may not

Oh I see.

Does this maybe have to do with setup as well?

I place it in an adapter and read it through an card reader.

Another thing is I haven't format it before I run the test, does this contribute to why it is so slow?

And does the computer's performance play an part too?

Your extreme pro seems kinda slow lol.
Slower than extreme plus.

But then again, it depends on ur system and configuration/hardware

Setup may play a part as well as system config.
Format usually should be ok one but,it would be better to format

I see. Then what else can I do to verify? Or should I just go back and exchange/Refund?

By system you mean the computer right? As for hardware you are referring to?

The above results I just use the adapter provide together with the sd card and I just plug into my laptop and run the test. Before that I format it to fat32.

Anyway, am i suppose just to have ntfs and exfat ? Fat32 has to be format through 3rd party program issit?
