Lol. Maybe in the future, but I doubt anytime soon. :( Because unlikely can get hands on one, unless any one want to loan me. :(:(

LOL. announced, but not available yet, and will likely cost an arm or a leg. lol.
Will not be available so fast one lo. They like to hang it up till they happy then release.
Lol, yea, thats true, but I never deal with them before, so its hard to say how fast.

IIRC some camera like Nikon's V3 is using the microSD standard.

My Sandisk 128 GB died last month (bought in April 2014) and I have been shopping around for a replacement. Seems that none of the current 128 GB cards has a decent write speed. Currently, Lexar is top of my list.

The new lexar microSD's should offer something good. It is available already, and convergent is still in process of bringing it in officially.

How did it die? Mine still working well. :s12:

Review: Silicon Power 64GB Elite MicroSDXC Card

qzj3T.jpg

As we can see on the packaging, the card is rated up to 85 MB/s for READ speed, with no mention of the write speed. Nonetheless, the card comes with a microSD to SD adapter which is pretty simple designed, that is pure black and Silicon Power (SP) brand and the purpose of the adapter.

.
.
Conclusion:
Apk4x.jpg

RnN8l.jpg

Overall, as expected, the read speed is pretty much almost always above the rated 85MB/s although H2TestW test showed it to be only roughly 59MB/s when testing the whole card. The write, on the other hand, sustained pretty much on the lower spectrum, though slower than other offerings from competitor’s lower end cards such as SanDisk Ultra or Samsung Evo. Overall, the speeds are:
READ – 87631KB/s
WRITE – 28,097KB/s

Once again, thanks to Marcus for lending us his card for this testing!

Since I am paying so much for 128 GB, I expect decent read and write speeds. Otherwise, I would just use my 64 GB cards, of which I have several.

My old Sandisk 128 GB was really slow, 30 MB/s read. Write speed was even slower. I pre-ordered from Amazon as it was the first 128 GB card. Now that 128 GB is becoming common, I can be a bit more picky.

For some reason, Lexar's cards suffer from wear-and-tear much faster than Sandisk ones. Though I have yet to see Lexar cards suddenly die off.

Using both Lexar 400x 32GB SDHC and Sandisk 60MB/s 32GB SDHC cards. Lexar seems to be significantly slower after a few months of heavy usage.

Regarding the crystalmark result in the reviews with 5 test runs, I think the result is the best of the 5 test runs, not the average.

think those cards which does not state the write speeds usually mean the write speed are not fast

Hmmm .... good to know. I'll have to check the warranty period before committing.

Just to clarify, I'm not hinting whether Lexar or Sandisk is better. More like Sandisk has a more consistent performance, but experiences sudden death. Yes, I had a Sandisk Extreme 16GB USB3.0 thumbdrive suddenly die on me. While the Lexar doesnt exhibit sudden death, but performance degradation over time. Each brand has their own merits, and i guess the manufacturing process and the quality of silicon chips chosen for the SD cards do affect the performance and behaviour of the chips during usage. :)

Thanks. Anyway, I have already decided on the replacement. Another Sandisk 128 GB! The third-generation 128 GB will be available later this month with about double the read speed at advertised 80 MB/s. I guess write speed will remain low at about 20 MB/s.

Amazon is selling this at 59.95 and since Amazon has just refunded me 119.95 for my old card, it looks like I am getting two for one.
