Hi my parents applied for studio apartment at Tampines Alcoves during Jan'12 BTO.
Estimated completion date 3rd Q14. Any idea when is the earliest they can move in, considering the number of flats are alot smaller compared to other BTOs (290+ units only)??
They are currently staying with me in my 3room flat and I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO LEAVE!
My cousin got her flat (Punggol Residence) in Sep'12 when inital completion estimated at 3rd Q13.

Don't think it's possible for an accurate answer and it's anyone guesswork. But recently, BTOs have had earlier completions approx 1 yr before the given completion date, similar to your cousin's situation.

when i selection day i ask for AHG, then HLE. then officer ask to submit another 6 mth payslip , go home fill the HLE form .

and put into the return envelope together with my son birthcert.

total days pass after select about 1 mth only

Almost the same situation as mine... except that I had to submit cpf contributions for both parties, 12 mth payslips for bf as he missed out by 1 required month, and our hle form was incomplete (how funny when we filled it in in front of the hdb officer during the selection day but she didn't check and inform us of the incomplete section) and recently, was required to resubmit bf's pay slip, or more accurately, his co's letter to verify the breakdown of the salary for 3 particular mths as they were inconsistent.

HLE settled, now waiting for AHG only... still bearing some hopes that it might be increased from what we expect.

Once AHG is settled, at least some air to breathe and something gets settled, you know.. that kind of feeling?

Aiya what's so great abt fireworks anyway? Can see twice yearly nia.

They shld think out of the box, to shoot the fireworks from 25 mil durian or from MBS instead of the float every time.

Yup...last time my frenz ask me go chinatown see firework during chinese new year and seem never saw firework before...

You knw go there easy going back so crowded, now think more worse bcos extra 2 millions foreigners

Is the date of completion the date when the keys are delivered?

Completion is when the estates are built completely. Possession date is the date you can move in after receiving the keys and it is also the deadline for hdb to deliver the keys to you.

My guess is that due to the interim period between completion and possession date, as hdb needs to conduct surveys and checks to ensure that everything is alright before they can deliver the keys to you, it can be anytime during this interim period, after completion date but before possession date. But logically, if completion date is pushed earlier, then possession date would most probably be too. Plus, they get the other 5% of downpayment (if you are eligible) and monthly instalments would come rolling in soon thereafter too

Yes, actually you can do a rough est yourself. Take your preceding 12 mths of combined salary and find the average.

I just need an approved 10k AHG as I still short 10k for my estimated 300k BTO.

I am more than happy if HDB approved 20k full grant to me as I under 3.5k bracket.
