Just send an email to MOM, cc Mindef
I am sure they will be able to step in if you are unfairly treated because of this by ur company.

Again for the last time , NS mobilization takes precedence . This is Singapore Law.
I once was in a similar situation, but in a different company. I emailed both MOM and MINDEF for help.

MOM told me to ask MINDEF for help.

MINDEF told me to ask MOM for help.

In the end, I left the company.

Is it okay if I pm you with more details? I actually did emailed MINDEF about this current matter but the responses were very unhelpful.

It depends on the role in your civilian vs role in NS...see which one can be replaceable?

If really got issues can talk to NSPC or your unit/Formation S8/DyS8?
I am in a dilemma over this. If I don't do what my company says, I could lose my job.

Ish National Service Personnel Center

NS Call Centre hotline (24-hour)
1800-3676767
(or +65 65676767 if you are calling from overseas)
contact@ns.sg
(If you are sending attachments, the following file types are preferred: .PDF or .JPG. The email size should be no larger than 4MB)
Oh, I already did talked to these people but they were not much help. They refused to give a straight answer.

In case you are still having this problem, try calling NS branch : 6750 8525. This is a publically listed number on the mindef page but it is not labeled NS branch for some reason. Even if they cannot help you, they should be able to provide further details. They have been very helpful for reservist related matters in my experience.

Edit : When you call, ask if this is NS branch, they will say yes. Then just say you are not sure if this is the correct number but you are a NS man and you have this problem where your civil defence duties are clashing with your ICT and you are not sure what to do.

Also, you should ask your superiors in your unit what to do if the ICT clash with your civil defence duties and say that the civil defence side does not want to care that it is clashing, etc.

Based on what you have described and the amount of secrecy (they clearly have something dirty to hide with the amount of confidentiality you described which clearly has nothing to do with legitimate proprietary information or the like), it somehow gives a strong vibe that what your company is doing may very well be detrimental to national security and could be illegal as it clearly (and apparently deliberately) clashes with your obligations as a citizen. No private company's well-being overrides the nation's in any circumstances.

If that is the case then they won't have any grounds to take legal action against you. As for internal disciplinary actions, you always have the option to accept or leave.

Better get out of this suspicious company and keep any relevant documentation to protect yourself. However if you are unwilling to give more information, even MINDEF or MOM can't give you any relevant answer because there is no basis for them to advise you on with the type of vague info you provide here.
