What abt the MOP for our replacement flat?

HDB says

The earlier of:
• 7 years from choosing the replacement flat
• 5 years from collecting the keys of the replacement flat

that means our MOP will end at 2023- 2016(choosing the flat) + 7 years.

Anybody can advise on this?

Base on my past experience, MOP will start only once you have collected your keys. so is 2020 - 2025. Perhaps, still has chance to choose elsewhere balance flat before 2020.

Btw, I have checked with the bank that loan is possible to start earlier , but still require OTP from HDB before loan can be discharged.

Upon reading the old brochure given on page 11, the OTP for 4/5 rooms are very high. And possible reason for choosing them instead of doing ourselves?
And strange, don't know why for 4th room Site D is not applicable. FREE?

Is that the fee for purchasing Option to Purchase?

Thanks, thought I was missing out something. Wonder if hdb predicts new hdb prices to drop in the next few years and therefore pricing new Dawson flats lower since they are not ready until 2020..

Ya mistralfan, no point brooding about the hdb loan. worse come worst downgrade to smaller units with fully paid , no liability . Anyway we are blessed to have a good location.
