That day I went to a Chinese restaurant with my fren

Ordered 3 dishes & 2 rice

Total bill $80. I was expecting ard $50-60

And simple stir fry dish/vegs only. No seafood or anythk

Plus the table so small & squeezy

In China or Japan, for this price I can enjoy a much better meal in a nice restaurant with huge table comfortable environment

SG dining scene really really CMI

Not surprised why many SG restaurants are closing down and more will follow

Super expensive, poor service and low value for what you pay

1 meal close to $10

Small serving. Need to eat tea break. Bread talk 4 leafs etc not cheap

1 whole day eat outside can easily hit $50
What to do? We earn high salaries, the hawker assistant also want high pay, the tau jiu also want to earn more..

Your $50 is too 夸张了吧。$25 with beverage would be reasonable.

If commoners level food I think still ok. Japan food more expensive for their avg salary - 700-1200 yen ramen, bento 500-1000yen, Chinese food also 1000+ most ppl like ownself cook.

My,ind, Thai, all affordable
