In China, a tray of 10 China eggs cost RMB29.90.
a tray of 30 China eggs cost RMB25.90 after discount. Original price RMB39.80

China prices more expensive than Singapore local farm eggs. It due to our exchange rate not that China is selling Cheaper. Even if you convert the exchange rate, Singapore farm eggs still cheaper.

SG's food prices are one of the cheapest around, you can't go convert currency because that's not how it works.

Go earn more $ is better than saving.

That day I went to a Chinese restaurant with my fren

Ordered 3 dishes & 2 rice

Total bill $80. I was expecting ard $50-60

And simple stir fry dish/vegs only. No seafood or anythk

Plus the table so small & squeezy

In China or Japan, for this price I can enjoy a much better meal in a nice restaurant with huge table comfortable environment

Not surprised why many SG restaurants are closing down and more will follow

Super expensive, poor service and low value for what you pay

That's the reason I go for fast food or tiong restaurant.
No point support sinkie restaurant or FNB.
Last time they dominate the market we LL go there eat.l and pay premium for their extra ice, chili or wet tissue.
Now got tiong , Siam, Viet or India restaurant we have more option.

Go for more.poxket friendly FNB who want our business instead of those treat us like buggers

For China even worse, can spend hundreds RMB for food and drinks. China prices much more expensive than Singapore. China brand burger cost RMB 20++ onwards, a simple meal in China costs RMB 20++,30+++, 40+++, 70, 90 and above. Cakes in China cost a few hundred RMB etc..

I did. One sourdough loaf and one packet of Chesdale low fat cheese cost around $7 plus, from NTUC. I one day can pack two grilled cheese sandwiches.

Eat lesser. Problem solved.

These days, I easily swing 2 extremes. $0 a day on food, or maybe up to about $800 a day for food.
Its either you dun eat, or u eat a quality meal with family.

How come Sourdough $7+? Thought usually sourdough at least $10 or $12?

Anyway, sourdough + cherry tomatoes + olive oil. Settled.

Most importantly high on carbs also, the hawker centre foods generally unhealthy. You see the oil they use plus ingredients mostly not fresh also. Those $5 meals very little protein and dietary fibre mostly.
