eh just to explain a bit on the fisheye effect. due to the shift in perspective especially in ultra-wide angle and also the projection used when stitching the horizontally panned images, the photo will usually come out with a curvy look.
try looking at an object and pan your head left right. the size and shape of the object remain the same, regardless at whatever angle right? but this is not the case for camera as it is not as powerful as our eyes and cannot reproduce 100% what we can see.
this was iirc a multi-row panorama of 23 images. i did not correct the distortion and left it as it was. note that the road at the bottom is curved when it should be straight.

i went back again and re-did the photo. this time, i did a vertorama, corrected the distortion and the result is a photo without curvy lines. note that blk 208 and 207 now lined up together, side by side in a straight line.
the bukit panjang scene was actually curved in the first place, even when viewed with human eyes. i left the photo as it is to achieve a punchier composition. but i did use a narrower angle(25mm) to shoot each individual frames so as to minimise the distortion. else the track nearer to me will appear really bulgy, if i had gone for an even wider angle, i.e 16mm.
