If you are okay with the size, relatively vanilla Android ( a plus for me) & no telephoto zoom. It's probably close to a OnePlus Nord 4 with a better ultrawide & selfie cameras.
*Not to mention being IPX5 / IPX8 / IP6X rated instead of just IP65 on the Nord 4.

how about the charging speed somehow can't find the specs on its charging speed

Yea but only am looking at side fingerprint or magic 7 face unlock, somehow still find on screen fingerprint will have error now n then esp when finger is wet

Side fingerprint readers don't work well when fingers are wet or when the skin on your fingers are very dry & chapped ( like in winter overseas for me ).
For the latter, optical or ultrasonic screen readers seems to work better.

i base on my mum usage, shes using a side fp now and compare to her previous phone is better than on screen optical. maybe im outdated already haha

It also depends on the manufacturer's implementation.
For my mum, any type of fingerprint reader doesn't work well for her (prints too faint from years of housework)

My devices are still on October 01 2024 security update.
Is that the same for the other Sharp owners here?

Definitely, because the Aquos R9 pro and Aquos Sense 9 are the latest phones from Sharp. Not forgetting the Aquos R9 pro is also the current flagship.

Hi all. The price,vas noted, for the r8 pro, has come down a lot so I've been looking online for reviews.

I was wondering if anyone here used the Sharp r8 pro long term. Ive only found reviews from Japan and it's a mixed results about the camera. Some like it some hate it. I've gone through 28 page of this thread and only 1 person gave a review, saying the camera wasn't very good. Are there any other opinions from actual users?

But does the R8s Pro have the same? I picked it, because it still offers a micro-sd card slot, for one. and it is half the price of R9 Pro.

I use Talker ACR on my Sense 8 to record all voice calls. It needs to be given permission to Accessibility options.
Can be a hassle sometimes for certain apps like UOB app forces accessibiility to be disabled before it can run.
