Agoda for those pay later, can only be in usd right? I got one confirmed booking which is pay at later date. cant seems to change to SGD.

read carefully what Pay Later ( at a certain date ) means

... I think Agoda shows u the USD amount and what the equiv SGD amount is at time of booking

but comes to the Charge date, Agoda will convert USD to SGD ( not using CC to convert ) and will also levy a 5% fee .. all charged in SGD ( or whatever Currency you have chosen at the top right corner Selection ).

Agoda should always choose pay now. Pay later will be charged in hotel currency with 5%? agoda admin fee. Not sure why you choose pay later.
Why don’t pay later if can pay later? This is not the usual “installment schedule”.

I would choose to pay in hotel whenever possible, if given that it’s the same price.

See above post. Not same price. Agoda spot rate is actually with minimal margin. Can try showing thr booking in hotel currency and sgd. Add 18%-20% bank discount should be 1 of the better deal.

I always have this problem that I don’t get the option to key in promo code. So does it means that it’s becos I am using a wrong link (eg, shopee or safra) or is it becos I am already using agoda promo so no further promo code can be key in?

Got 5% markup? I always pay later at the local currency that was quoted in the booking receipt. If it is 10000yen it is 10000yen, not 10500yen.

No. This is obviously becos of free cancellation option.

this is you don’t choose to pay in jpy, will be paid in sgd and hit double admin fee. (Jpy -> usd -> sgd) plus additional DCC also.

Ok, this clause in the t&c, if pay later:

"However, after you select your Charge Currency, an additional amount of 5% of the price will be added (i) when Charge Currency is different from Display Currency"

if one is careful and select the display currency to be same as charge currency, there is no 5% additional charge.

Bank discount only valid when u click from the specific bank/agoda booking page. Only that bank card will work. Cannot key in discount code.

they din tracked it? or tracked it but dont honour? think for big amount, if not tracked within a few days, should submit missing cashback or just rebook. so for nordvpn, thought they got 1st month free cancellation?

Yes. I got really annoyed but I didn’t bother to report. Just take it as lesson learnt.
Same, I made a 2+k laptop purchase which should have given me 100 bucks worth of cashback on lazada. On the same day, I made other purchases on lazada. Everything was tracked and given except this one. This one initially they didn't track, after that I submit query + proof, then it became tracked, after that they reject. I went to CSO multiple rounds, n in the end they say lazada say the purchase is fraudulent so case close.

So if there's alternate options to purchase big items at a discount (rather than relying on shopback cashback), I suggest use sth else for these big items.

Pretty sure they have an internal unspoken rule to scrutinise + deny large claims.

Same here. I had multiple orders on the same day from the same merchant. The biggest cashback amount of all the different orders got denied. That purchase was done somewhere during the period where the news reports of their mass layoffs within the company. However the recent big purchase from same merchant they did honour. Could be they random jiak to boost bottom line.

Shopbank a bit sneaky here.
For one of my hotel stay in May, supposed to get $10.71 cash back on 7 jul, but only credit $9.54 last few days. No details at all.

Wonder how they pass their audit with 2 discrepancies here on timeline and amount.
