Have been placing items in my cart in Taobao, and activating ShopBack only before checking out...Sighs, Ike been doing it wrongly, that’s why my first Taobao cashback 3 months back were rejected.:(

I use this method and I am able to get cash back. Did you install the chrome add on app? If you do right, items in your cart can be "activated" for cash back (if eligible).

Did you have to empty your TB shopping cart, then add item for SB to track your order?

'Cause I have like 73 items in my TB shopping cart as bookmarks but I am only placing order for one item that I added after searching in the search bar @ https://www.shopback.sg/taobao

Yes I do. If you install the shop back add on in chrome, you can immediately tell if your item is eligible for cash back

Yes, I do see Cashback Activated for the item added to my TB shopping cart.
However, is there any way to see the SB rebate % for the item?

No, can’t see the SB rebate % until you have paid for the Taobao merchandise, and SB sends you the email to inform you how much cashback you get for the respective items.
About your earlier question of emptying cart before purchase...Yes, I think you have to empty your shopping cart items before doing the search via ShopBack search bar to qualify. See last condition until DOs in below image.

Anyone has any idea what the ‘q.search’ in 2nd condition means? Thanks.

actually there's no need for us to empty card, go to shopback search bar, search the item and add to cart anymore. with the "ShopBack Cashback Buddy" app on chrome, you can search and add using regular taobao link.

when u go into ur cart, u will see this "Activate Cashback at Item Page" if the item is available for cashback.

then u click the item link to go back to the item. at the right hand side, u click on the shopback logo and activate cashback.

then u go back to ur cart, your item is activated for cashback.

i used this method and i do get cashback.

Does Shopback work if I purchase through the Taobao app, instead of using PC?

I activated Shopback for the individual Taobao items on my desktop browser via the plug-in, and it also shows "activated" in my Taobao cart, but I actually used the Taobao app to check out and pay for the items, cos Taobao promo codes can only be used via the app.

I don't see it appearing on Shopback, even tho some of the items have been shipped out by sellers. Using Consolidated shipping.

My previous Taobao transaction via desktop browser was registered by Shopback within the same day of making the order, although I can't remember if it appeared as soon as I made the order, or when the item shipped, cos both happened on same day.

you need to open Shopback app, from there go into Taobao app to check out.
Then it count.

Correction - I just received a whole bunch of cashback for my Taobao purchases from the Taobao app.

So it works. You can activate Shopback on your PC using the plugin and clicking the Shopback button on each item on your PC browser on the Taobao site, and still use the Taobao app on your mobile to pay, without having to go through the Shopback app again.

So Shopback does track your purchases through both PC & app. As long as you activate it on either platform, you don't have to worry.

On average, my cashback was about 3% per item.

My tracked shopback cashback for Lazada in Sept all rejected.. i thought the use of shop + CC + lazada vouchers are allowed on Shopback? The cashback should be calculated on the nett amount after all discounts but seems like Shopback rejected it!

This is a major turnoff. Check your transactions!
