That's strange. There shouldn't be an increase.

I often check the prices on hotels.com directly but when book, I use ShopBack link. The price is the same

Maybe it is just agoda's problem. They want to appear in shopback but they don't want to lose a single cent of their profit.

I tried booking Agoda directly VS trying with shopback. The price "increase" was more than shopback's cashback. So there's no point right?
Lol. This reminds me some time back when I used agoda through bank discount link, the price is slightly higher than agoda website. Net effect the discount % is less :s13:

Perx reward has a Shopback $13 cashback for new sign ups. But the t&c says $5+5?? Doesn't add up to $13.
Anyone knows how this reward work?

i suggest you write to them to ask. they are quite good and responsive.

most of us already got shopback accounts before this perx promo came about.

so far the rate i see at agoda is the same for bank links. However, shopback does not allow double dipping. so might as well use bank discount, but normally will compare with expedia first.

You mean like with HSBC promo? I saw 7% rebate for Agoda the other day but it's like for a direct link that they have on the bank website so was thinking cannot use with shopback but 7% better than 6% on shopback lar.

just noticed this

Do note that your cashback can take up to 5 months before it can be cashed out, subject to merchant payout conditions.

it used to be 2 months leh.

yap, thats why directly use bank discount maybe better. expedia have 10% discount with amex (but no discount on the taxes and service fee - no idea why). Seem like can double dip, problem is tnc say no. can only verified after the stay completed.

Changes for Uber rebates

Take note there's a change for Uber rebates.

Instead of 30 cents, it dropped to 20 cents. Good thing is we no longer have to forward the email to shopback for processing, it's all tracked automatically.

But then now, need to click through shopback before booking via Uber. Previously can click through shopback after the trip, before forwarding the receipt.

And clicking through shopback must be through the app on the same phone that is used to book the Uber.
