dont think CTC open on Friday... thanks for intro union mall..... but asiatique i saw the review b4, is a place u need to take boat over and the stuff is quite ex right? ppl go there just for walking n dining

you can have a look at some pictures and review i wrote here.
it's an all in one shop-eat-drink place. the stuff is more expensive than other places but you can and must bargain (for clothes/stuff). Food wise they have food court-style but also restaurants so it's a range of different prices.
the ambience is quite nice.

Asiatique is like our Clarke Quay, go for chilling, dining, some stuff are expensive but unique and can't be found anywhere else, good for taking photos also...

Take BTS to Saphan Taksin then alight, walk to the pier and take the free shuttle boat, last boat is around 11pm, later than that, need to take cab but cab fare is super cheap la...

Union Mall is a bit like Platinum but not wholesale price la, some local designer-ish clothes, alot of Nail Parlour for girls and a lot of shoe shops, for guys, selection is not too bad also...

Got an Eco cinema, restaurants, cafes etc.... Just next to Phanon Yothin MRT station, 2 stations away from Kamphaeng (Chatuchak)...

Was looking at this asiatique. Someone commented that the ferry is overloaded and this pose as a hazard. Same as nana plaza imho. My memory is that it is a fire hazard (I always remember it has a big opening and u shaped

if you're concerned about the ferry safety then why not take taxi? it's not very far from saphan taksin bts.

For those into weekend night markets, can try out talad rot fai. They used to be near chatuchak area and have shifted to new location. Quite big, no tourists, many locals there. Check our this review.

Imo Asiatique mall is not very worth a go if u r expecting something like platinum. Is more of higher end goods. Well maybe worth a one time visit.

Union mall is something like platinum mall but lesser shops. More locals n students though but also a one time visit for me.

Check out the link I posted earlier. It is at Sri Nagarindra road. Even bigger than the previous location! Cab is about 140B from pratunum area.

Alternatively can take train to udomsuk and take a short cab from there. It's actually just behind seacon square.
