I used to do that. Then switch to ink tank. Working for 3 years

Those who say ink gets clogged probably because using non-refillable printers. Specialised ones use different print head

the ink tank looks ulgy will spill off or not

Now my laser printer not much paper jam, suspecting I putting in too much paper inside the tray. As it can hold up to 250 sheets of paper in the tray, I put over 200, should put 100 plus paper since I do less printing. I trying to monitor for a few weeks to hold on to buying new first.

Did you fan the paper before you put them into the paper tray?

I noticed many users totally ignorant about fanning the paper, end up paper jam when multiple sheet fed into the printer.

Need to check how much the ink refills costs.

inkjets have the ability to give you photolab-quality prints, which laser printers are not capable of. each has its pros and cons.

SOHO printer rarely jam because of thicker paper, typical 80grams. It jammed frequently on thinner 70grams paper instead.
