Couple age difference 3 ,6 or 9 usually mean 1 can jinx another one based on Chinese horoscope. That's why ur husband luck is down
He is 43 years old, 3 years older than me...but he has been in and out of jobs eversince we married like for 13 years....

My hubby is just unlucky in his career after marrying me, maybe I jinxed him but he is trying hard and otherwise has no vices and is very thrifty and fairly patient...my dad is deceased but my mum does not seem to be too upset about my buying a JB house, she has even stayed over there with us last Christmas....and I will still be working in Sg even if I do stay there so not like I am migrating from Sg totally...

I admire your loyalty towards your husband. I agree as long your husband is a good husband and father, he's still a good man to have despite his current situation.

Not so easy to sell....one clinic was trying to sell to me at a lower price than when he bought it...

Do a start up. Show your balance sheet. get more customer base and bring in medical equipment if possible. You are a doctor and have a license. Can be done. :o

I have worked in several new clinics and it really takes quite a while to build up a patient load to be profitable...gotta endure losses for many months...and I have seen how my friend's new clinic at a prime area had to close down...not my cup of tea...

I think u are pretty capable and strong-minded, but u married the wrong guy. I feel sad for your parents who spent a lifetime bringing u to singapore, and now u want to go jb

Yalor i also share the same feelings. I feel sad for mummy. She only 40yrs old, still young & pretty mum have to go thru all these and going jb to retire so early. 心疼啊

Wow you jinxed your hubby? Sad for u cos the causeway jam will make u grow haggard v fast if u travel to and fro sg for work and jb to sleep. Quality time with family lost. Kids might also feel bitter.

Take a couple of weeks during the school term to stay there with your kids and see how they feel about the commute from hell?

Taking 6am shuttle = waking at 4? 5? then taking public transport IN sg to get to school. And back.

Driving in is even worse with the perennial jam.

Sure will be extremely exhausted one for long term. I gauranteed you that else my head drop. Gaurantee with my head that daily commute is really leading a low quality life. Waste all the time on commuting.

i have relatives that leave home at 4 am in jb and drive to sg to work. reach sg at 6 am then sleep in car till 8 am then start work.

if leave home at 5 am will reach sg at 9 am. late for work.

leave office at 5.30 pm and reach home at about 9.30 pm. then the cycle continues.

after 6 months, they give up and rent a room in sg.

if you want your kid to go up and down the causeway to school, pls dont. if you want your kids to attend international school in jb, go ahead and move there

I am considering that option but hubby thinks Sg education is better. They will take an extra year if they study in international school too. Main worry is future university education if they can still study in NUS or other local universities.....also their NS and if costs will increase significantly...

Don't forget the social side either - it's not a huge issue transferring at a natural break e.g. Pre-school to primary or primary to secondary when most are new together but transferring in when the other kids have had their little cliques for years already can be stressful and may even lead to bullying/ostracization by the prevailing groups.

As for whether they can go to nus/ntu, surely the potential school will have literature on which exams their students take. Just a matter of research.

Very true also. Better exercise caution. But if mummy die die wanna go jb no choice de lar. Her mind 85% made up already just want to feel better with more ple supporting her decisions. Kids gotta suffer anywhere whether be it internatiinal school or travelling in and out ish the same. They will be in for some culture shock.
