Using MSI P67A-GD55 with i5 2500, Palit GTX560Ti Twin Light Turbo 1GB.
Currently running BF4 at high settings, occational low FPS. Considering of getting NFS Rivals.
Considering of upgrading GPU but all new GPU using PCIE3 which my mobo only PCIE2 so I won't enjoy full bandwidth.
TIA

Basically I'm planning in a long term for the whole of next year. Considering changing GPU, switch from HDD to SSD, increase RAM. For GPU I think max I would part with would be $800 max.

Your mobo pcie 2.0 is got nothing against a pcie 3.0. The max graphics bandwidth can't even fully utilize the bandwidth allocated for a pcie 2.0.

So it still OK to get a new GPU.

CPU still strong.

If your ram is 8gb still can use.

Maybe get the ssd plextor m5p extreme 128gb ~ $159

MSI r9 280x 3gb + super flower hx600 600w 80+ gold PSU ~ $529 (Mynextcom deepavali promo)

IMO only time when you take into considerations regarding PCI-E 2 or PCI-E 3 is if you are going to run multiple cards in your PC

@royfrosty & @jarred1223:
Thanks. My RAM is 8gb.
One thing that bothers me is when I set my BF4 setting to ultra or Tomb Raider to the max graphic settings, the FPS will drop a lot. Is it due to my GPU?

I think can reuse the psu ~

Msi 280x tf ~ $475
Plextor m5p 128gb ssd ~ $155

8gb ram should be enough ~

Both game require a high end gfx in ultra settings ~ I assume its 1080p

280x can play both on high-ultra ~

Cheaper then gtx770 but performs closely with it ~

I don't quite understand one thing.
Was browsing MSI website, there's the GTX770 Lightning and the GTX770 TF OC, both are 2GB. I understand OC means overclock so what kind of difference should I expect?
