This I agree!!! :s13::s13:

The last time I had a batt drain problem on MJ7 was when I installed a lockscreen with a very nice UI, but it keeps my phone awake overnight and drained my batt to 30% while I am asleep:eek::eek:.

Straight away I uninstalled and go back to stock lockscreen. The only thing I missed on Note 2 that don't have in Note 3 is the swipe lockscreen with security pin, I wonder why Samsung missed this one out?:(:(

Sometimes i wonder if the openness of android is also detrimental... :s13:
Maybe if app do not have so much "power" all android phones would have much better standby battery drain...

But then google itself is one major factor to standby battery drain with all the google related wakelock.. :s22:

I using the normal lockscreen can't comment on the one with security. Haha.

very few third party lockscreen offer both lockscreen and security features, normally its just lockscreen. if found one, the probs is that its a battery hogger :(

Went from MJ7 to ML2, can't say anything conclusive since its been less than a day but the stand by battery drain seems slightly better. Over a period of 7-8hrs batter drain dropped from ~9% to ~6%.

any review on the latest firmware?
just back from holiday, so not my norm usage.
But last nite deep sleep ~97%, 8hr batt drop 4-5% with 4G on, Sync off and some bloat freezed. top 2 kernel wakelock, bam_dmux and ssp_sensorhub. think i had same on MJ1. hmmm dun see them on Note 8 LTE, 4.1.2.

You guys seeing top bam_dmux and ssp_sensorhub too?

I haven't update yet, but I don't see these wakelocks ever on my MJ7? have you search whats this wakelocks for?
Found the below but if you guys not seeing it .. .hmmm:s11:
BAM dmux is for mobile data so anything that keeps mobile data connection open it will show up. Stands for broadband access multiplier demultiplier. It's normal. Just means something is keeping data connection alive.

I would like to add that if you are on MJ1 rooted and wanted to upgrade your firmware to ML2 with MOP, you don't have to update to MJ7 first, you can go straight from MJ1 to ML2. I successfully did it without tripping knox.

i honestly don't have any batt drain issues with my MJ7 so far. thats why i'm still holding my itchy hands to upgrade to ML2.
