For those who are on current firmware, you can root safely. I have just done it.

1) From NF1/NF4, download NE4 firmware from sammobile.com (choose the right CSC e.g. SIN for Singtel, MM1 for M1, STH for Starhub and XSP for retail). Flashing a different firmware CSC doesn't change your CSC but allows you to change (at the expense of reset)

2) After downgrade to NE4, download towel root (towelroot.com). Root

3) Verify that device status 'Official', Knox 0x0

4) (Optional) upgrade to NF4 using Mobile Odin with appropriate setting ticked (inject Odin, Keep root).

Good luck..... Do it now before too late...

Am running 4.4.2 Kernel version 3.4.0-2044744 (Jun 25th).
Have never rooted before, can it be done?

Hello,i had a probs on my note 3,imei/baseband lost,hence sim card cant be detected,anyone can help me to recover the EFS folder?pls drop me an pm here and reward will be given if u can help me solve...tq

Any good ROM to recommend? I always facing a indexService problem on stock ROM. IndexService taking up a lot of space. 11.5GB in total up to date.

Just root my note 3 running on NH1 firmware, other than installing superuser and wake lock detector. How do I remove all bloatware?

If you're rooted on NE3, you may use Mobile Odin Pro to upgrade straight to NH1. Works well, Knox 0x0 still.

Hello everyone, hope to keep this thread alive so that we can share more information on root for our note 3.

Anyone recommend which rom is best for daily now? I'm stuck with temasek rom and stock tw de bloated rom..

Any rom that allows default chinese keyboard and Samsung one handed keyboard?

I have tried many roms from CM but those roms dont allow one handed keyboard with chinese. Currently I have flashed back to Samsung original firmware for these feature.

Thanks for your recommendation in advance! :D
