According to jbl experts, ideally 1.5m -1.8m from the ground pointing in direction of ears. So yes can go bit higher if ceiling is not too high. The ceiling sound reflections interference might be of concern though depending how u mount.

Setup this system 3 months ago with advice from folks here. Quite happy with it, but I need a rug (have been putting off buying it)

Wah your home so neat and nice! Well done!
Thanks. All thanks to the wife, who wants a neat setup with as few things shown as possible, so cable management was key (all hidden in walls/false ceilings). The colour and look of the speakers also had to match the theme. :ROFLMAO:

It looks like Q acoustics
Yup, Q Acoustics 3020i front speakers, 3090Ci centre, 3010i rears, Polk HTS10 sub, Denon AVR-X1600H, and Prism+ Q65QE Pro TV

If anyone looking for good bookshelf speakers do consider the Polk Reserve R200. It's less than $1k but objectively supposed almost as good as Kef R3 which is around $3k. But pls note r200 placement needs to be toed in ideally 15deg. Not sure if this particular placement is required, or relevant, for home theatre application. And with a very deep, tall and narrow shape, it can look abit odd or need slightly more space. If getting for home theatre, do realise they have 3 versions of center speaker. I will personally choose the bigger one the R400.

Planning to upgrade my current x3400h to 700h series to make use of pre amp mode as I have a 8 chn hypex amp coming.

should I go for 3700h or 4700h? Will only be running 7 chn for the time being and when shifted will likely get another 4 chn amp so the avr will be used as pre amp only.

not too sure if it’s worth to pay 700 more just for aura 3D
Can't remember where I read they say 3700h has same electronics as 4700h. So I would say just buy 3700h and get dual subwoofer instead. Although u do need space for that.

Dual sub are in the plan. Slowly upgrading until shift house so that lesser things to buy. Currently using kc62 so ya won’t take up much space even if add in 1 more.

plan was to go for ls 50 meta setup and relocate my 7 adiva se to ceiling or act as front wide. Which is why I ordered the hypex 252 amp.

Yah then 3700h. If not then x8500h which allows u to turn off any or all internal amp so u can use all your 8ch hypex power amps. Hehe.

I think dual subs really make huge difference to me. After I added 2nd sub I think can hear more mid bass sort of. Previously with single sub I mostly heard low low bass and mid bass sounded too soft.

Ya understand, so much things to upgrade but too little money.

every month add in things, think I can go stay in living room already.

mad the hypex amp will only likely to reach me in April. I’m thinking if I should get a pair of ls 50 meta first or change my avr first.

once those are done, will add in a r2c and another kc62. Rest can only be done after shifting which hopefully will be early 2023.

rich simi, for some, 1 cable can pay for my upgrades with spare already. Don’t need like me plan here and there, slowly upgrade here and there.

Good thing wife like the look of the ls 50. If not I don’t even need to think of all these.

think will just go for the hypex ba. good power and not too exp should be able to last for long.
