Actually the staff pay varies. Not all are that well paid. The true money sucking leechers are the numerous top management and board of directors. Those are the ones sucking the company dry. Staff pay have very little impact compared to the numerous non-essential top management people and board of directors pay.

There will be. There are cabin crew who hate the job but can't afford or dont want to break their bonds. Now they can do so without penalty (early release).
