I took DTL and Circle line. Reception is good. Are you on Simba now or you based on your previous experience? I understood from some longer term Simba users, they actually improved their reception inside MRT tunnels over the years.

Before they improve, at bishan just go inside MRT tunnel no signal liao. No signal persist till near novena but very slow....

MRT underground no issue
Depends where the train is at. If at/near the station, I have no problem with Simba. But when deep in the tunnel, no reception , but for little while ( cos the train soon approaching a station.)

👌

Actually I also using hotspot to watch streaming videos on my TV and I find that sometimes it's processing but to me it's not a issue.

I just tried to use hotspot on my laptop for internet access but was not able to get internet access even when connected ☹️

previously tried m1, gomo, now on vivifi

improve is not good enough for me i guess , i only using 4G , not willing to pay for 5G.

aiya.... incumbent telco good maybe become bad...new telco bad may become good.... just saying.

Most probably switching from Simba 100G to Giga 200G plan as I need more data for video streaming

Good as a 2nd line and 100GB data. Main line, no. 😂
Depends. My main line is Singtel and 2nd line is Simba on the same phone. Can happen anyway anytime whether basement or above ground buildings/areas.

Some places Simba get better connection than Singtel and vice versa. When that happens, I just switch the data to use Simba instead. Talking from own experience between so called best telco and not hearsay from other ppl usage.

I am getting this data plan

300GB/mth
for first 6 months
1,000 SMS
1,000 mins
No contract
Free caller ID
Free Rollover Data

Reverts to 200GB/mth after mth 6
+ Free 2GB gigaRoam APAC (One-time)
$20.37/mth

But I got some doubts on the 2GB gigaRoam APAC (One-time)

What is mean by One-time ? Is it applied to all countries ?

https://www.giga.com.sg/?gclid=CjwK...ehFfLYKPHfOgXdtUdcxoCZf4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

The roaming data is for APAC countries, not all countries in the world. If that is your question.
One time should means just 2G, use up the 2G then no more... can only choose 1 country out of the APAC list.... not 2G per country...

You mean Simba is better reception than SingTel in some places ?

I thought SingTel got the best reception.

If comparing Gomo which I previously used n Simba, Gomo definitely better as I never had any problem at all wherever I go.

for old folks, SIMBA senior $5. I don't think there's any cheaper plan.

gomo.
100 gb $18
I know there are cheaper ones but gomo is riding on sinktel network. Stronger signal = more reliable. I'm cheapskate but also need relaible due to my work

yup;, some places i have better reception on Simba, so I just swap the data to Simba instead.

Thats what everyone thinks, that Singtel has the best reception...until you happen to be in places where they aren't. I was surprised myself expecting Simba to be worst but it was the opposite instead.

Speaking based on own experience having Singtel on Sim 1 and Simba on Sim 2 on my S23U for over a year. Unless for some weird reason Sim 2 slot uses a better radio than Sim 1 on a Samsung flagship phone...lol.

But its not wrong to say Singtel will have better reception than Simba in MORE places but not all. Its all down to where they place the base stations anyway. Prob those places the Singtel base stations are further than Simba's and getting weaker signal that's all.
