as a 2nd sem student, will let you all know about the timetable and group ( i'm from marketing btw)

1. time table wise, you all will be able to choose which slots you want. there will be 1 this month, and another 1 next month. so you all can change again for you Local Lectures to another 1 to be with your new friends

2. for some of the modules which have grp work, some lecturers will require you to form grps during the Visiting Lectures, which are conducted by lecturers from RMIT. 1 example is BUSM4192 ( Intro to Management).

therefore, it is highly recommended for you all to go for the orientation camp (if there is 1) to know more friends. if not, during the VLs, you all will be"orphans", looking for grp who still need members. BTW, usually is 4-6 paxs per grp, but it may varies.

Any more prob, you all can PM me and i will TRY to answer for you.


PS: VLs are shiok because you only need to go school max 12 days( 3 days straight for a module) in the whole of Jan.

PSS: VL - Visiting Lectures. These are lectures conducted by RMIT people. Most likely go through 1st 3 topics of the lecture notes.

LL- Local Lectures. These are lectures which are conducted by SIM staffs. Weekly, form the bulk of your study.

how many days depends on your time table actually.

lets say 4 mods and you decide to put all on different days, so you go to school for 4 days.

if you're good enough and want to squeeze 2 per day, then 2 days.

And i've received the SIMconnect log-in details but didn't see the welcome package and enrolment details too. Was only informed that the orientation date will be on 15 December 2014~

Having the same problem as well, didn't see any welcome package and student statistical survey! But received the enrollment session email in MyMail, do check your MyMail! Anw, have you check with SIM about the problem?
