Hi!

For LFC (based on last sem, Jan 2015)
- Individual assignment (50%)
- TB is recommended as the ppt slides are insufficient
- Pretty easy to score as long as you do relatively well for your assignment
- I think prior to exam they will release some sample exam qns and for our sem, the exam qns came from the list of sample qns

Ethics and governance (based on last sem, Jan 2015)
- Individual assignment (40%)
- I think there is no prescribed TB but you can use Mallin's TB for reference for those topics under Corporate Governance
- Ong Chin Huat's class is recommended! He will give you past year exam questions and those qns are quite useful.
- Impt to familiarise yourself with the tutorial cases because you need to use them for exam

IB (based on Jul 2014)
- Individual assignment (50%)
- Assignment not easy to score for my batch, but exam was okay. Questions were the same from past sems.
- Prescribed TB not useful, only used a small section for assignment.
- Relied on notes past down from senior

I didn't take business ethics but I hope this helps!

Anyone getting error while trying to accept the contract with simconnect?
Had reported it since weeks ago and all they had done was kept extending the due date.

Both project and exam is difficult.

For the exam, you need to study the entire textbook. Exam questions are based on giving the definition of the concepts and then applying said concept to the short case study.

Thanks! How about global marketing? Which one is more difficult?

Marcom is more difficult. Global marketing would probably be one of the easier courses for marketing. The final exams have 50 MCQs and an essay question (you have 3 choices). MCQs are rather straight forward while the essay question would be from any chapter.

Thanks a lot! May i know when did you took the papers? Afraid that they might change the paper structures. How about B2B, Market research, service quality? Sorry for the trouble and thanks so much for your help!

2015 semester 1.

B2B- Might find this course/module difficult in the beginning because it's relatively different in the way it's tested. You would be given a case study (case study differs by semester) that is to be used for the mid-sem test and your final exam. Attend the visiting lectures for this course, they give a lot of hints. For test & exam, read your textbook and lecture notes, understand the concepts and principles then go through your case study to identify points in the case that applies to concepts/principles.
Project for this module would be both individual and group. Group project is actually just comparing and analyzing the info of group mems' individual research.

MR- Typical course where exams are just short-response questions. Study the concepts and definition from lecture notes/textbook. Didn't really like this course, quite boring for me.

SQ- Content-heavy but for final exam, they would give you a list of chapters to study for the short-response/answer questions so just memorize concepts from those chapters. Read through other chapters to be tested for MCQ. Group project relatively okay, just about the 7Ps.

Which semester are you in?

Seems like all are tough! Thanks so much for the information! I'm currently in year 2 sem 1, but i switch my modules from my last sem to this sem. Cos there are no more classes for law and marketing communications. So i'm taking Market research, Global marketing, SQ and B2B this sem.

I had managed to get them to fix the error on Thursday, 11th of June. Just kept calling their student services line, ending with 9393, 'til they get someone to help you. It's more effective than emailing them. Good luck!
