I do, still doesn't change the fact that the lines on the graphs are nearly non-existent, and that you have to figure out where the lines are.

He says he made it that way so that ppl would be able to get hands-on practice in the lecture. That's why you should listen and understand where the lines should be instead of furiously copy everything from the screen... U can copy all the diagrams to a perfect A but if you don't listen then its useless rite... You can say multi-task drawing and listening, but how much actually goes in when your mind is occupied on the former ain't it?

Okay teacher, I'll listen and understand where the lines should be instead of copying from the screen. :s13: Though I usually figure out the graphs and get them done before the lesson, so yeah. Thanks for the advice anyway.

Anyone knows if there is an exact point to plot the point B normal under hicks and slutsky definition of real income? It seems normal goods are homothetic in nature and therefore the points are parallel to each other.

depends on if X is Nor/Inf goods and Px Incr/Decr.

You draw both the hicks and slutsky BL and compare.

Eg if price decrease n X is Norm, you can know B is def right of A and C(H) and C(S). Cannot say the extent of how right but it must be right. of C(H) coz C(H) is more on the right side than C(S).

Under homethetic preference, I can know the extent of how right the point is since they are parallel to each other. (depends on relative price change not on income) So for questions that did not state the consumer's nature of preference, can I safely assume that all normal goods are homothetic? For questions that ask whether hicks income effect greater/lesser than ****'s income effect? :s22::s22:

Unless stated otherwise, I believe so... But I cannot say it for 100% tho

To the seniors or first years who have experienced this,

Although you've been to class and tapped somehow your attendance is still taken to be absent, so how do you clear it up with the student services? Plus, I just noticed this today and I've probably exceeded the" 48 hours mark to submit evidence of absenteeism". When I was in class and DON'T have any evidence...

Or can I just ignore it? I've read in some other forums some people just dont tap at all although they attend their classes and just receive emails? No penalty or anything?

I believe some folks here have encountered the problem of their attendance not being recorded by the system.

However, from what I've heard/read in the other thread, the attendance doesn't matter at all, for local students. They only care about the attendance of the foreign students, since they have to comply with ICA's requirements. So you could probably just disregard that with no consequences, I suppose.

I forgot to tap once and my attendance dropped to 99.09% (now 100% after a successful appeal :s13:). So it is a 0.91% per absence and you have up to 25% to play ninja before you hit the minimium attendance rate.

Send a message to student services and clarify with them. I think they will allow you to appeal even though you exceeded the 48 hours mark. This was what I basically did and my appeal was successful.
